Decorating

Henry

Christmas is really sneaking up on us this year. Luckily, Henry was feeling better this weekend and could supervise the tree trimming. For the most part, he kept us on track. Although, after a bit of work, he did insist on taking a snack break!

Boy, trimming a tree is hard work. I’ll just lay here and admire my great work.

Henry, the tree looks beautiful.  You did an outstanding job of supervising, and you definitely deserved a treat break.

I found out some news yesterday that devastated me.  About a month ago I switched Annie Fannie and Missy over to Blue buffalo for reasons I won’t go into here.  They both hesitated and although I did a slow transition, Annie especially did not enjoy eating it, and I really thought it was because she didn’t like it.

I also though because of all the household changes with her two playmates moving into their own home, Katie Marie coming in for three weeks, then leaving, she was a little stressed out.

Yesterday was out Puggy Claus Is Coming to Town pug meetup.  I took Annie and she just laid down, not mingling.  She began to pant a little and one of the ladies commented on Annie’s lack of interest.  We began to talk and I mentioned I had transitioned her and Missy over to Blue buffalo.  That’s when she told me her vet, my former vet, told her to immediately quit feeding her two pugs Blue Buffalo because they changed the way it was produced.  They are now importing their meat from China and making the food here in America still claiming made in America and that is perfectly legal.

All at once everything clicked.  Because Annie was not feeling well we left the party early.  I immediately took her home and went to PetSmart to buy Wellness for both dogs.  Because of what I had just learned I did not transition and fed both Wellness last night.  Missy immediately took to it.  Annie was a little hesitant until she discovered it was HER food back.  She ate well last night and this morning.

Annie is not herself and I am keeping a very close eye on her, thinking I need to take her to the vet to get her checked.

Because I completely trust this vet and know how well he keeps up on things, I now know, while all the changes in Annie’s life may have affected her, the food is the real source. I pray there is no damage to my sweet Annie Fannie.

If any of you feed Blue Buffalo, please watch your babies closely and consider changing.

Corrine, I apologize for this long post, but I feel it is very important to tell all my OBP friends what I have learned and how Annie Fannie is reacting.

Can I borrow Henry? maybe he can do a Tree decorating 101! Oh Sue VDB-Keeping Annie in prayer and hope it’s only the food. I thank you, Corrine & all the others on OBP that share different things about their Pugs/fur babies. Right now I have been dealing with diarrea had changed the girls to Natural Instinct-well I have gone to cooking white rice & ground beef, Solsie seems to have gotten over the runs but Daisey took a little longer. Boston’s have very delicate systems. It would be great if they could just tell us what’s wrong. Pug hugs from pastor sue & the Colorado 2

Thank you everyone.  This means a lot to me.

Sue States, there is some kind of thing going around. My friend’s pug got the same thing for about 3 days.  Now her other two pugs have it.  The first pug would not eat pumpkin so switched over to crushed Pepto pills.  Her other two pugs love the pumpkin and the Pepto.  They are recovering.  It must be doggie flu. Glad Solsie and Daisey are feeling better.

Oh Henry, you did an excellent job supervising the trimming of the tree!  Glad you patiently waited and then was rewarded by snackies smile

Sue VDB, I will be keeping Annie Fannie in my thoughts and prayers.  Hope it is only the food, and not something more serious.

Sue States, hope your kids get their systems settled soon.  Diarrhea is no fun, Lily had it off and on when she was under a year, paid the vet for many a poop sample examinations, but thankfully it was never anything serious.
