Henry and The Brain

Henry's Brain MRI

For the curious, here are snapshots from Henry's MRI. The area I circled in red is the spot of the hemorrhage. In the picture of the scan you can also see two other, much smaller black areas. Those are also small hemorrhage areas.

The area highlighted in red, also has some inflammation around it. You can see the inflammation in a different view. The white area is a bit of swelling which indicates that the hemorrhage is fairly recent. With time, the inflammation should subside.

Henry's Brain MRI

Despite these scary images, Henry seems to be doing OK. So far, Henry has not had any more seizures since Thursday. Which is so relieving, but we are still a bit on edge and are watching him ever so closely. His vision does seem to have taken a turn for the worst, but we are working with him on that. We are so very lucky that Henry has weathered yet another storm!

I love this boy!  He truly is Henry Strong.  I love how fur children adopt so easily to whatever life throws their way.  Human’s could learn some valuable lessons from our fur babies.

They really are scary images.  It must have been so hard for you both to look at them.  I’m so sorry that this has happened.

I completely agree with Sue VDB.  Your love and devotion to Henry has been what makes the difference.

Thank you for sharing-it is fascinating seeing Henry from the inside. There is another area I see that shows how much love Henry has and how strong this trooper of a pug is! His eye sight may be failing but the Love of his wonderful family is and stronger than ever. Continued prayers and pug hugs from pastor sue & the Colorado 2

As your pack of Henry-friends all say, Henry is in the best spot possible for recovery. The devotion of his family, your willingness to respond to his medical needs, and Henry’s own love of life will help him. I think I speak for everyone when I say we all wish we were there to pet him, love him, and whisper sweet nothings in his ear. But you probably do enough for all of us. xxoo
