Joanne Knauf Paintings for Sale to benefit Pug Rescue

PugSpeak is making available two Joanne Knauf original pug paintings to the public. Proceeds from the sale of the paintings will be donated to the Colorado Pug Rescue and Prairie Pugs Rescue.

Contemporary artist and dear friend, Joanne Knauf, passed away in March 2006. Joanne lived in Pretoria, South Africa and while she painted scenes and subjects indigenous to her homeland, Joanne’s real passion was pugs. Joanne was particularly inspired by her own puggy brood - Pugzelle, Biscuit, and Pablo Pugasso. This passion was reflected in over 65 pug paintings.

Meet other pug lovers at the Pug Parliament

The fourth Pug Parliament “Pug Fun in the Sun” event will be held Saturday, May 20th 2006 at 2 pm in Overland Park, KS.

The Iditarod

On March 4th, the 2006 Iditarod kicked off in Anchorage, Alaska. This grueling race is definitely not designed for pugs. It will take mushers around 10-17 days to navigate a 1,150 mile trail with a team of 12 to 17 dogs. This race is not for the faint of heart either. During the race teams will face subzero temperatures, rugged terrain, poor visibility and long periods of darkness.

Follow the race on the official Iditarod website
