Calendar Contest 2006 Calendars now available!
 We are extremely happy to announce that the 2006 Calendar Contest calendars are now
available for sale! We received over
350 entries to the contest and had the tough task of sorting through all of those adorable pictures.
The calendar is for sale via our new CafePress store and a portion of the proceeds from
each calendar sale will go to benefit the Maryland Pug Rescue. So, not only will you be buying
a stylish calendar packed full of cute pug pictures (if we do say so ourselves), you will
also be helping pugs in need of extra care and TLC.
This project is a first in many ways. It is our first calendar contest, the first item ever
for sale by OwnedByPugs.com and the first time we have teamed with a pug rescue organization
to raise funds for pugs in need. We hope that you can help make this project a huge success!
Featured Pugs Selected Weekly
We are so pleased with the number of pictures that have been submitted to
the OwnedByPugs.com picture gallery
that we have decided to pick one photo from the gallery each week and feature it on
the site.
The featured picture will be displayed on the homepage, all of the article pages and
at the very top of the pug picture gallery. The featured photo is updated each Sunday so be sure
to check back each week to see the lastest photo.
If you haven't already done so, be sure to submit your
favorite photos of your pug. And even if you have submitted photos before, upload more images
because we love to see pictures of our pug friends!
In the works: An OwnedByPugs.com Re-Design
You may have noticed that this newsletter sports a new OwnedByPugs.com logo. The new logo
is just one of the many things that we have planned for a re-designed version of the site
that we hope to launch towards the end of the year.
While many of the changes in the new version impact the behind the scenes operations,
here are just a few of the things that the new version of the site
will feature:
- A picture gallery with registered users, so members can comment on pictures
- A way to view previous featured pug pictures
- A complete OwnedByPugs.com store stocked full of official OwnedByPugs.com merchandise
While we are in the process of re-designing the website, we would like to hear any
ideas and comments you might have on how to improve OwnedByPugs.com. If you have any ideas
