Ben has a thing for scratching and flipping pillows around. He can clear the sofa of all throw pillows in a matter of seconds and once he does he just rolls around on the couch all proud of himself. It’s not just the throw pillows either. If it is fluffy and not attached he will do his best to fling it somewhere. I’m trying to get a picture of this, but sometimes when he scratches, his front paws move so fast that he has to prop himself up on his head. It is the funniest thing. He is supporting himself with his head and his little paws are going 90 mph. He is an odd guy.

I must confess the boys & Luna have way too many plush toys. They have a little over two toy bins full of various plush toys, but one of them is always playing (or should I say dismembering) with one of them. They do have their favorites, though, and they seem to drag those toys everywhere. They nap with them, take them in the yard and sometimes Benny will even try to convince you to let him take his puffy on a walk with him. With the amount of action that these toys get they can get pretty filthy. So this weekend was bath time for all the plush toys. We did two loads of plush toys and a few more loads for their dog bedding and pillows. The toys all cleaned up very nicely and the dog beds smell very nice. So now the boys & Luna are on a mission to dirty everything back up again!

The tiny Mimosa tree that we planted in the backyard appears to be doubling in size everyday. Since it has grown so much since my last update, when I caught Henry sitting next to it the other day I quickly snapped a picture and knew it would be perfect for the next Mimo update. Benny, however, got a little jealous and promptly came over to water the Mimo. It seems he doesn’t like the Mimo stealing his blogging limelight.

When I fussed at Benjamin for being such a cranky old man, he gave me a look that said, “What? You don’t think this little tree is getting so big from water and sunlight alone, do you? It’s all because of Benny’s specially formulated Miracle Grow!”

While I was away last weekend, my work quickly piled up. Lucky for me, Benny pitched in and lended a helping paw.

While he was hard at work, I love how you can see just the very top of his head peaking over the top of the computer.

The boys and Luna usually always snuggle together, but sometimes they just make me laugh. Henry was still snoozing in bed, when I was trying to make it the other morning, so I put him in the little dog bed in the living room. Before I knew it Benjamin joined Henry in the dog bed. Luna didn’t want to be left out so she squeezed herself in as well.

The expression on her face is just priceless. She seems to be saying, “Geez…having brothers is nice, but you would think they could leave a little bit more room for their lil’ sis!”
All Henry has to say is, “I was here first!”

Benny is a creature of habit. One of the things he does every morning is pull up a chair at the breakfast table. Every morning, without fail, when I am getting breakfast ready, he hops up into his chair and makes himself comfortable. What always cracks me up is how he sits on the chair. One leg always hangs through the back of the chair and as he relaxes his tail always uncurls and hangs down as well.

Once he has settled, Benjamin has a clear view of all the food on the table. He watches everything we eat and sometimes he rests his head on the glass if we are eating foods he knows he doesn’t get. But, if a banana is cracked open, Benny perks up and waits for his share.

After breakfast is finished, Benjamin inevitably succumbs to his sleepiness and sprawls out on the chair.
