Bath Time

Benjamin, Henry and Luna

Three stinky pugs all corralled and ready to get scrubbed up.

Benjamin, Henry and Luna

As usual, Benjamin is most interested in what is going on with the drain. Every since he was a pup he has had an odd fascination, or fear, of drains and sewers. As a pup he couldn't even walk past a sewer without his belly hitting the ground out of fear. He has gotten a lot better over the years, but he still takes a wide berth anytime he comes near a sewer.

The Boys

Benjamin and Henry

A meeting of the distinguished pug club under the boy's favorite tree. And also a rare glimpse of Henry, the sun loving pug, hanging out in the shade.

While taking this picture, I had a flashback of the two little puppies these boys once were. I quickly snapped back to reality and realized that if the boys were the puppies they once were, this scene would never happen. Surely, one of them would be bouncing around and Benny would probably be tugging on a hunk of Henry's face wrinkles. It is fun to see old men this pair have become. They may not be as spry as they once were, but they are still as thick as thieves.

Open Sesame

Benjamin

With the way the pugs wait at the door, you would never know that we have a doggie door around here. I think the pugs and Cupid, like to play a little game and see if they can get the humans to open the door for them rather than just letting their selves in through the doggie door. Needless to say they all are winning at their little game.

Cinderfella

Benjamin

Baby Benny is trying to see if my purple slipper fits his chin.

I don't know what it is about pugs, but they always need to be resting their chin on something.

Pug Duties

Benjamin

One of Benjamin's duties as a pug is to supervise the weekly dog food prep. On weeks when I have to cook the turkey the process takes quite a bit of time and it can be quite exhausting to a pug. So Benny, always picks one of the black rugs to take a little cat nap on while I slave away. Unfortunately, the rugs are all positioned in front of places that I need access to while I'm working. One is in front of the stove, one in front of the fridge and one in front of the sink.

So, I tried a little experiment, and I moved one of Benny's dog beds into the kitchen to see if he would monitor me from there. Worked like a charm!

Benjamin

As you can see Benjamin is pretty bored by the whole process. His feedback is that I need to cut the prep time by 99% and give him half of the prepped food as soon as it is done being prepared.

In My Defense

Benjamin

I broke down and bought a new dog bed over the weekend, BUT this is a replacement dog bed, not a new addition. One of Benjamin and Henry's most used dog beds got so tattered and torn that I had to throw it away. So, of course I had to get a new one to replace it! Otherwise, where would they sleep? wink

The new dog bed has rigid sides and I'm not sure if Benjamin and Henry dig that. They are still testing things out for now. Luna, is super happy that her puff pillow is still in good shape. Don't mess with her divot and she is a happy girl.
