It’s 3 O’Clock Somewhere

Benjamin & Henry Waiting for Dinner

Luna & Benjamin waiting for dinner

Every work day at 3pm this is what I see.  Pugs gazing up at me, letting me know it is time for dinner.  A little bit before 3pm they start to gather at me feet and somehow they know exactly when the clock turns to 3:00.  If I have not gotten up to feed them by then, Benny will paw at my leg to let me know that I am neglecting my duties.  He is like a cranky old man demanding his early bird special.

Pillow King

Benjamin

Wherever there is a pillow, there you will find Benny.  Snuggled up and resting his wrinkles.  After all, it is hard work being so cute!

Big Brother

Luna following her big brother

I think Luna really likes having two big brothers.  From time to time, I will find her completely mimicking the boys.  Today, at lunch, Benjamin & Luna were on the sofa relaxing and I just happened to notice that the two of them were laying the exact same way.  It’s like Luna wants to be just like her big bro!

Luna mimicking Benny

What I have been most fascinated by since we have adopted Luna is that she hasn’t learned much from us, in terms of training, but she has learned a ton of stuff from the boys.  She just naturally picks up on what they do and just follows right along.  I guess it is completely natural pack behavior, but it is different to see it at work in your own house.

With the boys it just seemed like it took forever for them to learn their manners and to get them to settle into a routine.  But, Luna just walked right in and settled into the routine perfectly.  Granted, she does do some things that the boys would never dream on doing (ahem, barking for table scraps), but for the most part she really follows their lead.

I am just really thankful that Luna had two big brothers to show her the ropes and that when she became part of the family the boys didn’t completely forget everything they had learned up until that point.

Putty in His Paw

Benjamin

This is why Benjamin pretty much gets whatever he wants.  I just can’t resist that wrinkly face!

Ain’t No Sunshine

There has been very little sunshine the last few days here on the east coast of FL.  Without sunbeams to bask in, the pugs have been a little down in the dumps.

Benjamin, Henry & Luna

Yesterday, Benjamin had to bury himself in the couch because he couldn’t stand the thought of having to make another pee pee in the rain!

Benjamin

And Henry & Luna have turned to each for support to get through these gloomy days.

Henry & Luna

Here’s hoping for some sunshine for Benny, Henry & Luna who are missing it dearly.

I Feel Pretty

Benjamin looking at himself in the mirror

Benny is always perched atop the back of the sofa and from time to time I catch him checking himself out in the mirror that hangs on the wall behind the sofa.  The boy knows he’s cute and I guess every once and again he likes to make sure his fur is not must and that he wrinkles look just right.  In the picture, above, is Benny’s reflection and is what he sees as he gazes at himself in the mirror.

Silly Ben

Silly Ben

Ben has a thing for scratching and flipping pillows around.  He can clear the sofa of all throw pillows in a matter of seconds and once he does he just rolls around on the couch all proud of himself.  It’s not just the throw pillows either.  If it is fluffy and not attached he will do his best to fling it somewhere.  I’m trying to get a picture of this, but sometimes when he scratches, his front paws move so fast that he has to prop himself up on his head.  It is the funniest thing.  He is supporting himself with his head and his little paws are going 90 mph.  He is an odd guy.
