There has been very little sunshine the last few days here on the east coast of FL. Without sunbeams to bask in, the pugs have been a little down in the dumps.
Yesterday, Benjamin had to bury himself in the couch because he couldn’t stand the thought of having to make another pee pee in the rain!
And Henry & Luna have turned to each for support to get through these gloomy days.
Here’s hoping for some sunshine for Benny, Henry & Luna who are missing it dearly.
Last night was Henry’s lucky night! We had spaghetti for dinner and since he has been getting a lot of exercise lately we let him have a few extra noodles. For me, the highlight of having spaghetti is watching Henry slurp down some noodles. We have a few good pictures that show how his eyes get so big with excitement in anticipation and a little video with all the appropriate pug sound effects.
The tiny Mimosa tree that we planted in the backyard appears to be doubling in size everyday. Since it has grown so much since my last update, when I caught Henry sitting next to it the other day I quickly snapped a picture and knew it would be perfect for the next Mimo update. Benny, however, got a little jealous and promptly came over to water the Mimo. It seems he doesn’t like the Mimo stealing his blogging limelight.
When I fussed at Benjamin for being such a cranky old man, he gave me a look that said, “What? You don’t think this little tree is getting so big from water and sunlight alone, do you? It’s all because of Benny’s specially formulated Miracle Grow!”
The boys and Luna usually always snuggle together, but sometimes they just make me laugh. Henry was still snoozing in bed, when I was trying to make it the other morning, so I put him in the little dog bed in the living room. Before I knew it Benjamin joined Henry in the dog bed. Luna didn’t want to be left out so she squeezed herself in as well.
The expression on her face is just priceless. She seems to be saying, “Geez…having brothers is nice, but you would think they could leave a little bit more room for their lil’ sis!”
Henry sleeps in the oddest positions. I have always found that he twists and turns himself until he manages to have his head hanging down so that all the blood can rush to it. He has been this way since he was a pup and personally, I don’t see how this could be comfortable.
When you put yourself in positions like this Hank, you make your mother have to crawl around on the floor to get a cute picture of your handsome face. You know, something with a little better angle so that you don’t look completely depressed.
Awhile back I posted a few pictures of the Mimosa tree that we planted in the backyard. Since we planted the tiny tree it has really hit a growth spurt. We couldn’t be more pleased! Here are a few more pictures of the tiny tree so that you can see how it has grown.
I admit, right now it kinda looks like a big weed in the yard, but it is starting to develop a trunk and pretty soon it will look more like a tree. I can’t wait until little Mimo gets bigger and gives us some shade in the yard.
The good folks at Bow-Wow Pet saw our post about their dog bed and were nice enough to send us two more of their beds so that each of the pugs would have their very own bed.
As soon as I got the beds out of the box, Benjamin & Henry were ready to test them out. Both boys agreed and thought the new beds were very cozy.
