I was strolling through Walgreens the other day, when I saw this cute dog bed. At first, I was a little taken off guard because I didn’t expect Walgreens to have such a cool dog bed. But after I looked at it for awhile, I just knew that the boys and Luna would love this new bed. It didn’t matter that they needed this bed like I needed a hole in my head. The pugs already have about 5 or 6 nice pillow beds. But, this bed was wasn’t your typical pillow bed, it had sides and I just thought they would like that for a change. And for $10, I just couldn’t resist it. So, of course, I bought the bed.
As soon as I put the bed down on the floor, the pugs didn’t disappoint. Benjamin immediately jumped in and made himself comfortable.
As soon as Benjamin left the bed, Henry jumped right in and tried it out for himself.

The next morning, I noticed that Henry was lounging in the bed again. Ben, however, wanted Henry to make room for him too, so he squeezed in as much as he could.

We have a wall in our “play” room that we call our picture wall. On the wall is an 8x10 of each one of the pets. We try to update the wall with new pictures every few months, but we have fallen pretty far behind lately. So far behind actually, that the last update was pre-Luna so, the little girl didn’t even have her picture up on the wall.
So, this week, we finally got around to updating the wall. The first photo is a good overview, but her is each individual shot.

When we take the pugs out in the yard, we let Cupid come with us. She loves to eat the grass and chase the bugs.

Benny loves to mug for the camera. His is so handsome and he knows it!

Henry is the silliest. There is something about the grass and the sun that just makes him want to roll around.

And last but not least, little Luna. She is such a sweetheart.

What do you mean it is time to make the bed?

For some reason, Henry has a complete aversion for the water bowl. Only if he is really desperate will Henry even consider taking a sip of the nice, fresh water in his water bowl. Instead, he prefers to quench his thirst by drinking from the pool. In the picture, you can see him leaning into the pool to get some water after playing in the yard. Henry would like you to believe that this is the only source of water around, but in reality there is a nice big bowl of water right behind him.
Personally, I don’t think that drinking pool water is a good idea. We do our best to stop him, but he inevitably always sneaks in a couple of sips.
After the pool, Henry’s other favorite watering holes are the gulpy, puddles and sprinklers.

Last weekend, while trimming the tree, we had three restless pugs under our feet. Henry was sitting ever so still watching us put up ornaments so we thought we would have a little fun with him. We wrapped him all up in a festive ribbon. Henry just sat there under amused by our antics. The cat, as you can see in the background, had a little bit more fun with the ribbon. She was racing around the house, hiding behind boxes and pouncing on the ribbon. Henry could sure learn a thing or two about the holiday spirit from his sister, the cat!

I guess the apples really don’t fall far from the tree. Since I work from home, Henry has decided that he, too wants to be a computer programmer and earn some extra income. (Hey, I am all for that! Earn your keep, boy! Good for you!) Here is Henry. Tell me: Is he “working hard?” OR Is he “hardly working?” Maybe for Christmas Santa will bring him a lovely pocket protector.

It is hard to really remember (although it hasn’t even been a year) of what life was like before we adopted little Luna. But before Luna joined our family, the only dogs in our family were the boys, Benjamin & Henry. Heck, sometimes we still just call the 3 of them “the boys.” She doesn’t seem to know the difference. Even if she did, I don’t think she’d care much. She is a tomboy anyway. (I mean she does lift her leg to pee….) In any case, the one thing I do miss (don’t get me wrong…I wouldn’t trade little Luna for a million bucks…but…) the boys do a good job getting their pictures taken and Luna is neither photogenic or patient. Thus, Luna usually makes for the blurry spot in the “family” photo.
So, I decided to take a couple of photos of just the boys for a change. They do a good job when I tell them just to sit there and look cute. They are good boys. It is funny when I look at this photo because so often people stop me and ask how do I tell the boys apart. Well, to us pug lovers, how can’t you? It is quite evident, though, especially when they are right next to each other that Benjamin & Henry look quite different.
