One of Henry’s absolute favorite things to do is to sun himself in the yard. He really enjoys being outside, eating grass and lounging around. So when we saw this “King of the Yard” tag we just had to get it. Not only does it describe Henry’s favorite activity, but it is also purple so it matches his harness as well.
If you look closely you can see it on his harness in the picture above. And so you can have a better view, here is a close-up shot.

The other day, I found a snake on our screened-in lanai. Now granted, it was a baby snake, so it was not very big, but it was enough to really startle this city girl. The worst part about it was that I wasn’t able to get the snake out of the lanai. Cupid, the cat, was the first to spot the snake. So she proceeded to poke and torment it. I was so worried about getting the cat away from the snake that by the time I had the cat safe inside the snake was no where to be found. Needless to say, I looked high and low for that thing, but I could not find it. For my sanity, I am presuming that the snake let itself back out the same way that it came in, but you can never be too sure.
So yesterday, I pass by the sliding glass doors that have sheer curtains on them and I see a snake like shadow. My skin starts to crawl and I just know my snake friend is back for a visit. Determined to catch the little guy this time, I slide the curtains back and what do you know, one of my good little pugs has gotten their rope toy out of the toy box and has forgotten to put it away. Needless to say, I was very relieved, but I still wonder which one of the pugs was playing tricks on me.

With family in town last week, all the chairs on the lanai were taken. This meant that Benjamin, Henry and Luna weren’t able to use their regular seats. Henry, however, made the best of the situation. He hopped into his outdoor toy basket and made himself comfortable. He’s always thinking!

Henry loves the water and when he is not swimming he likes to float in his Pug Tug. While relaxing last week, we got the Pug Tug back out and Henry was as anxious as ever to go for a ride. We weren’t too sure what Luna would think of the boat, but she was brave and decided to set sail with her brother. The interesting part was that Luna would only ride in the boat if Henry was with her. If Henry was not in the boat she wanted nothing to do with it. Henry being in the boat really made her feel safe.

In the morning, Benjamin, Henry & Luna usually get off to a slow start. Here the gang is all piled up in the chair and a little mad at me because I moved them from the bed to the chair so I could make the bed.
But being the troopers they are, they made due with just the chair and blanket and managed to catch a couple more minutes of shuteye before getting up and gettting their day started.

This weekend we decided to get out and enjoy the beautiful spring weather. We took the boys to a local park and went for a nice, long walk on the trails.
While walking we came across a bird observation deck. The deck was about two stories off the ground and had a nice bench at the top. Everyone eagerly climbed the stairs to the top of the deck and gazed out at the trees and the water below. Baby Benny appears to be afraid of heights because he wasn’t too keen on going close to the edge and looking out.
We did however take a small break from our walk and enjoy the view for a bit. During that time, everyone sat on the bench and waited while we looked around.

After our short break, it was back to the trails. The boys had fun smelling and trotting along. Little Luna was going full steam ahead and was very anxious to go exploring. We had fun and after our long walk everyone was quite tired and ready for a nap.

When we decided we were going to adopt another dog, one of the biggest worries I had was how the boys would react. The boys have such a strong bond and an interesting dynamic that I didn’t want to ruin that by brining a third pug into the house. At the other end of the spectrum, I was worried that since the boys have such a strong bond, they would want nothing to do with the new pug.
We have had Luna for about two months and luckily none of my worries are true. The boys have accepted Luna and welcomed her to the pack and Benjamin & Henry are still the inseparable duo they were before Luna arrived.
I feel really lucky that the boys have accepted Luna so well. She has only been here for two months but it feels like she has always been a part of our family. I give a lot of credit to the boys, but I also give a lot of credit to Luna. The little girl is so eager to please and I think she really likes her big brothers. I know the boys love having a little sister.
