All To Herself

Luna

Don't let her size fool you. Luna can be quite the bed hog. It's hard to believe but she takes up most of this king size bed every night. What she lacks in size, she makes up for in strategy. She isn't the biggest of pugs, but she sure does know how to position herself to occupy about the same amount of space as a Great Dane.

Where’s Luna

Benjamin and Henry

As we were trying to get the pugs lined up to take a picture in front of the lake, Luna was no where to be found.

While Luna is a very good girl, don't let her fool you. She can be quite stubborn. Luna is at her best when her agenda corresponds with my agenda. If she is on a different page and has something else on her mind, her listening skills can be a little poor.

The picture proves my point exactly. While I was trying to get the pugs to pose for a picture, Luna was off looking for some bird poop by the edge of the lake. The girl has a weird thing about bird poop.

The boys, on the other hand, were more than happy to sit and wait while I went and rounded up Luna.

Extra Tired

Luna

For the pugs, FL living means they do things backwards. They practically hibernate in the summer because of the heat and they play all winter.

For Benjamin, Henry & Luna, Fall in Florida is an in between season. Some days it is still to hot for them to go out and do much and some days are perfect pug days. We have had a few perfect pug evenings recently and when the weather is right we always jump on the chance to take a long walk or head to a park. Since the pugs have been hibernating all summer they are super excited to get out and about, but they are still getting used to the extra activity. Therefore, we have had some pretty tuckered pugs on our hands.

More Good News

Luna

Luna's 3rd sonogram revealed that the mysterious spot on her bladder is 95% gone! We are very relieved with the good news. The thinking is that the inflammation was caused by cystitis. We have to keep an eye out to make sure this condition does not reoccur.

While Luna has been on antibiotics for almost a month, her cough has not cleared up. This has me very concerned because I was thinking that she also had some type of infection in her chest. We decided to do another chest x-ray to take a look at things. The spot on her lungs was still there, with little to no change since her last chest x-ray a few weeks ago. Since we know more about the bladder now, our vet is diagnosing this as bronchial disease. She has been put on medicine to help with her cough, but there really isn't anything we can do to cure it. It is more of a maintenance thing.

While bronchial disease is not great, it certainly is better than a collapsed trachea. Sol's trachea issues have me super concerned about trachea issues in Benjamin, Henry and Luna and I was very glad to see that the x-ray showed that Luna's trachea is in tip top shape.

Luna’s Sonogram Results

Things went well at the vet yesterday and the news is generally good. I am breathing a sigh of relief. I will have more details on Monday, but I just wanted to help alleviate any worries in the meantime. Thanks to everyone for their support!

Enjoy your weekend.

Sonogram #3

Luna

Today Luna goes to the vet for another sonogram to check on the lump on her bladder. She finished the last of her antibiotics yesterday. I am really hoping that the second course of antibiotics have done the trick and that today's sonogram is going to show that Luna's bladder is in tip top shape.

All My Pugs in a Row

Benjamin, Henry and Luna

One of the things I love most about Benjamin, Henry and Luna is how close they are. They are never far from each other and when it time to relax, pug piles are bound to happen.
