Well, it obvious from this photo that the boys have finally recognized Luna’s “Princess” status. While the boys are little “Princes” they have allowed their sweet baby sister to have the pillow throne for this photo. If Princess Luna could only remember to be humble with her calling it would probably go over better with the commoners. She is very much of an alpha Princess.

This is little Luna in a pre-sneeze position. While she is the wiggliest of all the pugs, I am still amazed that some of her photos can come out clear. And if a sneeze is over in like a second, how can I seem to capture that split second before yet when she is sleeping or otherwise laying still she finds a way to ruin a perfectly clear photo. Bless you, my pug.
And Happy Birthday, G-Ma!

I find it amusing that Henry & Luna like to lay together on the runner at the entrance to the front of the house. What is even more funny, though, is that that little carpet is called a runner. Hmm…runners, no, those pugs don’t even like joggers or walkers, let alone runners here. Do they have any furniture or accessories called lazy dogs sleeping? Perhaps we should incorporate a Lazy Boy recliner for the pugs.

Benny isn’t the only sun lover in the group. Both Henry & Luna love to bask in the morning sun as well.
These photos make me laugh because Henry looks huge in them. While he is on the bigger side for a pug, he really isn’t that large. It is just that Luna is that tiny! In fact, she is smaller than the cat.

The holidays have really taken their toll on the little girl. She is realizing just how tiring all the Christmas prep can be.

Sitting still for a change.
Photographing Luna is no easy task. As soon as the thought even crosses your mind that you should snap a picture of her, she inevitably moves. It is like she wants no proof of her cute or silly behavior. This is probably how most dogs behave, but I have been really spoiled with the boys. Both of them love to mug for the camera and you can stick the camera right in their face and they will not budge. I can hover, lean, poke and pry and they just ignore me. Which makes it really easy to photograph them.
Luna also has a super dark face which turns out too dark in lots of photographs. I almost always have to lighten her photographs so that you can see the detail in her face.
All things considered, though, she has improved a lot since we first adopted her. When we first brought her home, it took a couple of months for me to get a half way decent shot of her.
She is such a sweetie and I try so hard to capture that, but most of the time she just comes out looking like one big blur.

Luna has a thing for rolling around in the grass. She gets a good laugh out of me each time she flops herself on her back and flaps around like a fish out of water, even though I know she is just doing it to mark her territory.
There is a whole process leading up to the infamous roll. First she catches a scent that she can’t resist. Then she paws at the grass and then out of nowhere she just flips around and lands smack on back and just wiggles around until she feels like she has adequately covered the scent.
I have been trying my best to get a video of this process, but so far have been unsuccessful. It really is quite a sight and she is ever so pleased with herself when she is finished.
