Pug Love
A little montage of Benjamin, Henry & Luna.

The writing on the bed pretty much sums things up. The little girl has become quite spoiled and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I had a couple of requests to see more pictures of Luna in her Denim Love Dress and I am more than happy to comply. Enjoy!

While we were out shopping for the much needed treats for the treat jar, we were sure to bring the pugs back a special chewy, too. We got them each a cow ear. Cow ears are much healthier than the pig ears they grew up on and they are not greasy either so they are better for the carpets and furniture. Here is Luna making a at go at this cow ear. It is pretty funny how the chewies get shared around here. Luna never really likes to be the first at a chewy. She wants one of the boys to get it started for her. That also helps Benjamin because then he feels like he gets a 2nd one that’s “his,” too. So, it all works out quite well. For the most part they are very good about sharing and taking turns. It makes a mama proud!

They say that big things come in small packages. We find this to be quite true, as well. Little Luna is a tiny little pug but she seems to take up the most room wherever she goes. Here are the 3 of them on the outdoor dog cot. As you can see, the boys are off to one side sharing half of the cot while Luna is sprawled out and taking the whole other half herself!
This is the case at bedtime, too. It seems like Luna grows like a weed once bedtime arrives. She has been known to take up so much space that she has displaced each of her parents! Once morning comes, though, she has shrunk back down to her teeny little self, again. It’s like she takes after a werewolf or something except Luna turns from a sweet diminutive pug to a huge, mattress demanding Mastiff! By dawn, however, all is well.

I wouldn’t say that Luna is a very barky dog. She rarely barks at people or cars when they pass by the house. However, she is very assertive and she will bark to tell you that she wants something.
The first time I noticed this was during dinner shortly after we adopted her. We sat down to eat and all the pugs were at our feet hoping to get some scraps, when out of the blue, Luna just starts barking at us. Demanding that we give her some. Benjamin and Henry almost fell over when Luna did this because they know the most effective begging tactic is to put on your cutest face and look like you are starving. Mommy falls for that every time. Barking, whining and scratching, however, get you no where.
Luna also frequently barks at the boys when she wants them to play with her in the yard. She usually barks at Henry and Henry is very good at ignoring her. Here is a little clip of Benjamin, Henry & Luna playing in the yard the other night and Luna barking her head off because she wants Henry to chase her. Notice how , in the beginning, Henry is totally tuning her out.

Brothers! I was just trying to play with them and somehow I ended up with this toy on my head!
