Sometimes, Cupid exhibits more dog like qualities than the pugs. Take for example, this tennis ball. Somehow, it ended up in the pugs' toy bin. The pugs have had absolutely no interest in it for years. However, a few months ago, Cupid dug it out of the bottom of the toy bin and has been playing with it ever since.
She bats at it, chases it, sorta fetches it and sometimes holds it with her front paws and kicks the crap out of it with her back paws.
Before I leave for work, I tuck the tennis ball away so that no one trips over it during the day. When I come home, I find it in the oddest places. But my favorite is when I find Cupid tuckered out and purring up a storm next to her tennis ball after a little bit of playtime.

I can always count on the cat to "help" whenever I am in my office. Sometimes, I feel like paying her extra treats to take the day off

Remember the stroller we got for Sol that she ended up hating? We still have it and since none of the pugs love it it is parked out of the way in a room in the house. Before I leave for work each day, I always say goodbye to the cat. The other day, I could not find Cupid, so I set about the house to find her. I finally found her tucked away in the stroller purring up a storm.

Thirteen years ago, we sprung Cupid from the pound! She was 2 at the time, so today we are celebrating her 15th birthday. That is 105 in human years. Man, someone needs to get her on the Smuckers jar!
Happy Birthday Cupid!
Happy Valentine's Day!

Cupid has taken to laying her basket again. This has me wondering, how long until the basket is Benny's new favorite place to sleep? Anything the cat likes, Benny likes even more.

The cat is super particular about her water. She used to only drink out of the swimming pool, but recently she has set her sights on the pugs' water bowl. That strikes me as odd because Cupid is the type of kitty to steer as far away from dog germs as possible.
However, Cupid will not drink out of the pugs' water bowl any old time. She will only drink from their bowl when we change the water. Only the freshest water for Cupid.
The other day she took it a step farther and started drinking from the bowl before I could even put it back on the mat.

There must be something very interesting going on in the kitchen.
The pugs and Cupid like to relax on the soft and warm carpet while they keep a close eye on what's going on in the kitchen. Even though Cupid looks like she isn't paying attention, don't let her fool you, pop open a can a cat food and she'll be on her feet in less than a second. As for the pugs, just crinkle a bag and you will suddenly have 3 pugs at your feet.
