Happy Halloween

Benny & the Jets

B-B-B-Benny and the Jets

Well, this year, the pugs decided to be Benny and the Jets. The best part about the costumes this year is that all week I have been screeching at the top of my lungs, "BEN-NY, BEN-NY, BENNY AND THE JETS. B-B-B-Benny and the Jets."

Lucky for the pugs, Grammy was able to whip up their nifty jet outfits and make Benny his Benny shirt. In terms of "wearablity" the pugs seemed to like this year's costume. No hats and Benny didn't even have to worry about the wings. Although, towards the end of taking pictures Henry did have a crash landing in the grass and his wings did suffer a little damage. And Benjamin did manage to pee on his Benny shirt. But, peeing on his Halloween costume has become sorta a tradition, so it wouldn't have been Halloween without it.

What a Weekend

Sol

Wow, what a busy weekend! We celebrated, we remembered, we swam, we walked, we napped, we visited, we explored and now we are all pooped!

I hope your weekend was just as great!

Memorial Day 2009

Benjamin, Henry & Luna

Yesterday, in the Fashion Forward segment of Owned By Pugs, Sol showed her Americana spirit.  Today the fawns offer their version of patriotism in honor of Memorial Day.  You may wonder why the 3 fawns are separate from Sol.  Well, the answer is simple.  We only have 3 scarves.  We were given a gift pack of 5 holiday scarves for the pugs for Christmas 2008.  That was only a few days before Sol came into our lives.  At the time, we only had 3 pugs.  Unless Great Aunt Gaila is psychic she had no way of knowing we would need a 4th bandana set a mere 4 days after Christmas.  So, now the 4 have to share and we must divide and conquer for photo ops.  Not a very patriotic story for this patriotic day but it was the best we could do.  Have a safe and happy holiday.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Sol, Benjamin & Henry

We interrupt our regularly scheduled Caption This programming to wish you a Happy St. Patrick’s Day.  These festive bandanas were part of a set given as a Christmas gift to the pugs from their Great Aunt.  At the time, we were a three pug household.  But it worked out perfectly because I took this picture the same day that I took Luna’s “Does this shirt make me look fat?” picture.  Luna would have loved to have been in this photo but she had exceeded the max amount of work time allowed by law for a pug.  So she was off getting treats while Sol, Benjamin & Henry had to work. grin

Curious Henry

Henry checking out the new shower doors

Christmas came a little early in the OBP household.  There was a “Santa” that came from Lowe’s to install shower doors in the guest bathroom.  Henry was the first to go see what all the commotion had been.  We were careful not to let him stay very long though because the smell of the caulk that the man used when installing the doors was quite potent.  Henry might of gotten his first little doggy high if he’d stayed in there very long.  So, we wisked him away, closed the door and put the fan on.  This year was a Christmas filled with oversized presents in the OBP household.
