What’s Up

Benjamin

Benjamin prides himself on being the only pug that can jump up & lay on the back of the sofa all by himself. The only other four legged creature in the the house that can do it is the cat & Benjamin loves to do whatever the cat is doing.

Since the sofa does not back to a wall, all the other pugs, or really I should say Henry, is afraid to jump onto the back of the sofa fearing he will overshoot and fall off the edge. I can't say that I blame him. Benjamin, however, can do this with ease and he revels in the fact that he will always have the highest lookout spot to himself.

Luna, knowing her limits with her poor vision, has never even thought about sitting on the back of the couch. And Sol, well lets just say jumping on anything is the farthest thing from Sol's mind

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Focused

Henry

Queue the barking in 3...2...1...

The pugs love to sit on the sofa in the early evenings and gaze out the door. Not only do they get to bask in the rays of the setting sun, but they also get to bark at everyone that happens to pass by the house. And that is one of their favorite things in the world to do.

Snug

Luna

Luna is my very own little heat source. During our recent cold snap, I was forever warming my cold hands on her warm belly. Thankfully, she doesn't seem to mind. I don't know how the little girl does it, but she is always the warmest of the four. Which means I am always happy to have her on my lap grin

Driving Miss Solsey

Sol

On Saturday morning we took the pugs for a walk at a nearby park. Sol walked a bit & then rode in her pouch for a bit and then finished up by walking some more. When we got back to the car, I sat her on the seat while I buckled in Benjamin, Henry & Luna and she made herself quite comfortable.

We also started a new set of coughing meds on Friday night. She was doing well for a while and then all of a sudden her coughing was back. Not as bad as it was around the holidays, but it was still constant. So, last week we were trying different dosages and we also went back on the antibiotics in hopes that things would get better. Nothing really seemed to be having an impact so we stepped up to a "harder" cough suppressant. This is pretty much our last option so I am hoping that it works. In some ways I think it is working better, but in others I don't think it is working at all. I am going to have to give it a few days to know for sure if it is working any better. I am just keeping my fingers crossed hoping that this new medicine does the trick, otherwise there really isn't anything else we can try.

Meanwhile, we have been taking Solsey on a lot of walks in her pouch and taking her out for as many car rides as we can. She is at her happiest when doing these things. Seeing Solsey enjoy life brings a huge smile to my face.

Really?

Henry

Really, Henry? You find that comfortable?

I didn't know he was that flexible. I guess you miss a few walks because of the cold weather and the when you finally get back in the swing of things you need to stretch out the legs. I'm sure that's it grin
