We have pictures of each one of the “kids” in the room that normal people would use for a dining room at our house. Below each one of the pictures is a little circle mat. Luna loves to lay on the circle mats in the afternoon to bask in the setting sun. I always tease her, though, because she never lays on her circle rug. Instead, she always lays on the rug underneath Henry’s picture. Her official spot is one picture to the right

One of the things I was worried about when we adopted Luna was how the addition of a third pug would affect Benjamin &Henry’s relationship. The boys, had been together everyday since they were 12 weeks old and not only were they very tight they were inseparable.
While things did change after we adopted little Luna, I am happy to say that the boys are as close as ever. Sure, sometimes they have an extra cuddle buddy, but they don’t seem to mind and they still have that unique bond that will forever make them “my boys.”

February is National Pet Dental Month and I was wondering about your pug’s dental routine.
We brush Benjamin, Henry & Luna’s teeth pretty regularly, but I’m afraid not as often as the recommended daily brushing. My gang loves their peanut butter flavored tooth paste but they are not too keen on me moving the brush around in their mouth. Henry is the best at sitting still and letting me brush and it is pretty much a toss up between Benjamin & Luna for the honor of worst tooth brusher. Luna might barely edge Benny out to take the prize because her mouth is so tiny and she just refuses to sit still. I can usually guilt Benny into sitting still for a second or two by using a disappointing tone while saying his name. This always makes him want to try to be a good boy. Luna, on the other hand, sticks to her guns and fights me all the way. If I am lucky, I can work in a tooth brushing about once a week, but I am trying to do better and work my way up to daily brushings.
How about you? Do you brush your pug’s teeth? (I also look forward to your thoughts in the comments.)

Tweets from the pugs: You may notice a new addition to the sidebar called “Doing Now.” I hope to use Twitter to give small updates on what the pugs are up to throughout the day. If you are a Twitter user you can follow us here. If not don’t worry, you will always see the latest updates in the sidebar. I hope you enjoy!
Animal Rescue Site: The Animal Rescue Site has teamed up with advertisers to donate food to animals in need. By clicking on a button on their site, advertisers agree to donate food. But, the Animal Rescue site is having a hard time getting the number of clicks it needs to have food donated. So if you have time, stop by and click. It doesn’t cost you anything.

Is it wrong to be jealous of your pug?
Every morning, when the alarm beckons me out of bed, I wrap each one of them up and get them all comfy somewhere else so I can make the bed. I get ready and then they join me for breakfast where they get a couple bites of bananas and a few cheerios. After that, I am rushing to the office (granted, I am super-spoiled because I work from home, but it is work nonetheless) and the pugs go back to bed. I would love to get up, eat breakfast and then go back to sleep. That would be grand!
I guess the hard part is that they rub it in. They cuddle up in my office and snore their little hearts out. Occasionally, one of them will pop up their head and give me a look letting me know that “it would be great if I could keep it down!” Some days I want to be a pug!
