Ask OBP #20

Benjamin

Welcome back to Ask OBP. We think we are up to date on the questions thus far. So, the most recent question that has come in is as follows: Lori asked if the pugs ever did or do now lick their feet a lot.

Yes, Lori. We went through a spell where Benjamin, in particular, would tenaciously lick his feet. We discovered that it was a seasonal allergy thing. The others were occasional feet lickers, too, but not as much as Benny. Overall we discovered that a little Benadryl for the Benny boy during the peak of the allergy season would take the edge off the persistent licking. That was a good question! You may want to consult with your vet about Gracie's licking. Sometimes it is a behavioral issue and not a medical issue. And we never pretend to be vets here at OBP, but we sure do share some mixed up medical stuff! Good luck with Gracie and her tootsies.

Looney Rising

Luna

While we were not able to catch the actual rising of the moon on Christmas night, we did catch Looney bright in the sky with her most appropriate glowing halo. The night after Christmas, however, we went down to the beach and caught Luna in our first ever actual moon rising. We have tried to witness Luna rising on the ocean several times before but have never seemed to have good enough timing or good enough weather. Well, this time we had both. Hooray! Here is our time laps of the moon rise on 12/26/2015.

While we saw the moon rise at the beach, in real life, it was always a challenge to get our true Luna to rise and shine. She was always one to be a late sleeper and getting her to get out of bed was difficult but fun. Here is a flashback clip of us trying to get Luna to rise and shine.

Freaky Friday Cupid Style

Cupid

Cupid does love to go out on her leash and will often "scream at us" to be let out on her leash. She will meow meow meow meow and meow some more until we suit her up and let her out front. It is not so much that we don't want to take her out. We happily will. But there are times when literally she is so worked up to go out side, yet the minute we get out there she goes straight to the door asking to be let back in. Yikes she can be one fickle cat. Usually it is Henry who just stands by the door to go out front just to turn around and come right back in. Maybe we should install a revolving door at the front door. wink

Keepin’ Cruisin’

We never get tired of Henry hanging out the window and we hope you all aren't getting tired of it. It is Henry's biggest pleasure! May the video of his happiness also bring you joy. smile

There is no soundtrack to this one. We were pulling into a parking lot, so I wanted you to be able to hear Henry's excited barks. Also, Henry gets some love from some walkers on the street.

Pug Resolutions

Henry

It has been with great internal debate in Henry's mind what he wanted his New Year's Resolution to be. He considered many things but begging at the table won out. Not even a week in and the goal goes unmet. No worries, Henry, no one REALLY expected you meet your new year's resolution. #NoOneIsPerfect #GoodTryPug #BeggingIsFun

Ask OBP #19

Benjamin and Henry

This is a question asked late in 2015 (and I am sorry that memory is failing so early in the year but I do not remember who it came from #sadface). The question was about if the puggers ever chewed on slippers or shoes. As puppies the boys chewed on a lot of stuff (the underneaths of chairs, futon legs, baskets even each other!) And while they never really chewed actual shoes or slippers, they would tear up the laces of shoes if we kept unworn shoes in their reach. Even while walking, though, they would try to snag a shoe lace. Talk about a tough task! Try to walk a straight line while you have 2 pug puppies literally under your feet trying to eat your shoelaces! We are not even getting into not stepping on them or falling over them! Oh! The reminder of puppydom. smile

Any shoe/slipper chewing pugs out there? And we are back live (not really live--LOL) with your ASK questions now. Did you think of anything to ask over the last few weeks?

Ringing In the New Year

Henry

Welcome to 2016! Henry met a new friend on a recent walk. This guy is about his same speed (that would be a speed of zero). But Henry was happy to ring in the new year with ol' Kermit here! LOL. There wasn't any champagne or fireworks, just a nice mosey and few hugs.
