In an effort to get to the bottom of Luna's cough, we made an appointment with the specialist to have further tests done. We know from Solsey that there isn't a lot you can do with a collapsing trachea, but Luna's cough and symptoms have been different enough that we aren't 100% sure that Luna's cough is caused solely by a collapsed trachea. In addition, the number of medications that Luna is on to control her cough seems unreasonable for the results that we are seeing. In short, for as much meds as Luna is on we feel like we should see better results if we were treating her for the right thing.
Sol had the classic goose honk type of cough that was associated with a collapsed trachea. Her condition didn't fluctuate much. Sure, some days were better than others, but the cough was there no matter what and it was the same type of cough. Luna is all over the map and her cough is more like a gagging than a goose honk. The thing that concerns me the most is Luna has a lot of mucus. Sol never had any mucus.
So, we set off to the specialist to see if they could help us figure out what is going on with Luna. I'll let you know about our visit to the "special" vet tomorrow.

You know, for not being able to talk, Benjamin, Henry and Luna can deliver a pretty clear message. They are not so subtly telling me that by their calculations it is chow time.

These pictures we taken in February 2006 and April 2006, just a short time after we adopted Luna.
We all know now that Henry is Luna's favorite big brother, but when we first adopted her Luna was still trying to figure out who she liked better 
I joke that Luna likes Henry better, but that really isn't fair. Henry is Luna's favorite brother to cuddle with. So, I have lots of sweet pictures of the two. However, Benny is Luna's favorite partner in crime in scoring treats and chewies and all things food. The two of them are inseparable when it comes to trying to score something to eat.

Before I leave for work in the morning I give the pugs a little scoop of turkey to tide them over while I'm away. Since it is food related, it's the part of the morning routine that the pugs love the most. So, while I am getting ready for work I have three little pugs staring at me wondering if I am done getting ready yet so that we can get to the turkey.

Henry is giving this whole pillow thing that Benny loves so much a try. Like Ben, I think he likes it.
It's always funny to me when I talk to someone and they say their dog is not allowed on the furniture. I have to laugh because not only do the pugs have full run of the furniture, but they pretty much insist that they have plenty of pillows to fluff exactly to their liking.
