Sometimes, Cupid exhibits more dog like qualities than the pugs. Take for example, this tennis ball. Somehow, it ended up in the pugs' toy bin. The pugs have had absolutely no interest in it for years. However, a few months ago, Cupid dug it out of the bottom of the toy bin and has been playing with it ever since.
She bats at it, chases it, sorta fetches it and sometimes holds it with her front paws and kicks the crap out of it with her back paws.
Before I leave for work, I tuck the tennis ball away so that no one trips over it during the day. When I come home, I find it in the oddest places. But my favorite is when I find Cupid tuckered out and purring up a storm next to her tennis ball after a little bit of playtime.

Since there isn't much fur growth on his back to report, Benny wanted to show off his sweatbands this week. Unlike the shaved spot on his back, Benny thinks the spots on his legs make him look cool

You know it is chilly if you wrap Henry up in a blanket and he doesn't wiggle himself out of it.
I know us Floridans can't really complain about the weather, when everyone else in OBP land braves much harsher conditions, but for us, this weekend was pretty chilly. The good news was that the pugs got to go on long walks and we didn't have to worry about them getting too hot.

November 2003: Two tired pugs at Lake Needwood in MD.
The boys were always up for weekend hikes along the trails at Lake Needwood. In the Fall, it was a perfect place for the boys to plow through piles of leaves. There were a few different trails so we could mix things up each walk.
Henry, being the adventurer that he is, always wanted to go off trail. He once came across a whole peanut butter and jelly sandwich on one of his off trail excursions. He was very pleased with his find, but not very pleased with us when we wouldn't let him eat it.

Another week has passed and Benjamin is just starting to get a little bit of hair growth in his shaved spots. For the curious, Benjamin does have a thyroid condition that he gets medicine for, so we are aware that this will contribute to the amount of time it takes for his fur to fill in.
At this rate, I'm thinking it is going to be months before Benny's fur is completely grown back. On the bright side, summer is coming and maybe this little bald patch will help keep him a tad bit cooler in the FL heat. We'll just have to make sure he doesn't get sunburned!

I can always count on the cat to "help" whenever I am in my office. Sometimes, I feel like paying her extra treats to take the day off
