Getting a head title out of Benny is almost too easy and it is a privilege that I abuse regularly. All you have to do is say a string of words that he knows. For example, for this shot, I asked "Benny, have you seen mommy? Did Grammy come to see you today? How about G-Ma? Is G-Ma going to come see you? Did you eat your lunch today? How about Henry? Where's Henry? Where's your sister? Looney?"
As you talk, you are sure to get the classic, left, right, little more to the right, back to the left pug head tilt.

I think Benny has been reading the blog and is a little jealous of all the love that Luna gets. I was trying to get a good shot of Luna and Benny kept walking into the background. He wasn't about to let Luna get all the limelight. He made sure to at least work his tush into the frame.

It is commonly known that Henry loves the Florida heat. He is a sun worshipper through and through. I feel like I myself should be over the surprise of this. (Trust me, while I am thrilled to no longer have to shovel snow, the Florida sun is not always my best friend.) In any event, while I have come to expect that Henry loves the sun, sometimes when I find him in the position these photos show, I sometimes go over to him and shake him just to be sure he's not dead or passed out. Henry, having the wise guy personality he does, looks at me like, "ma, what's the deal? I'm just getting in my sun time and soaking up my vitamin D. Relax." While these photos do not flatter Henry, they do demonstrate how he is "living the Florida lifestyle." (Other Floridians may appreciate that catch phrase for the Beall's Department Store jingle.)

So...like I said yesterday about the 4th of July.....this is what the pugs look like after being up barking all night long. The 5th of July around here is the pits. I feel like they do, too. The only difference is that they get to have a stay home day. Did I say that the 4th of July was the OBP humans' favorite holiday? Whatever was I thinking? It's like this every year. :(

The Fourth of July is one of the OBP humans' favorite holidays. However, the puggers are not big fans. They have zero understanding of all the crash, boom, bangs that light up the night sky. What makes matters worse is that her in Florida fireworks are legal to the public. This means that the "fourth of July" actually starts early here. This year, it began June 30th as neighbors started setting off their own store bought explosives. Oh joy. So, this week has already been a few days of non stop barking. Oy! It is one of the times of the year when I really wish I could reason with my neighbors AND my dogs! Right about now they are all making me crazy. Now would be a great time for me to be INDEPENDENT of pugs & people. Hahaha! Hope your Fourth is safe & happy!
Much patriotic paws from OBP.
