Always have to steal my kisses

Henry

Henry is not in the business of giving or getting kisses.  The closest you can get to getting a kiss from him is licks on your eyelids at bedtime.  Other than that, you get nothing.  And to top it all off, he despises getting kisses, which is a real shame because he has the most kissable cheeks.

But, despite the fact that he hates kisses, he gets plenty from me.  I am forever sneaking in and giving him a big kiss on his cheek.  He has learned to tolerate it, but if I try to sneak in two or three at a time, he glares at me.  Strangers have tried to give him kisses and he turns into such a wiggle worm and storms off at the first opportunity he gets.

Benny & Luna, on the other hand, well they are a whole different story!  Is your pug a kisser?

My Henry is the opposite of yours when it comes to giving kisses.  He has a very active kissy tongue!  He had to learn to accept them back, and he’s good with that now.  We also had to teach him that “projectile kisses” were not ok—he used to excitedly launch his head at a person—the sentiment is ok, the head clash was not.  smile

Zoe is a big time kisser—giving and receiving but Napoleon is like Henry… he just tolerates it!

Unfortunately, the fellas don’t kiss like they used to.  :-(  When we first got them, they gave us “walrus kisses”, soft kisses with no tongue that were soooooo sweet.  I really miss those.  Biscuit has started kissing my eyes as well, but I think it’s more like smelling the “sleep” when I first wake up.

But, like you, I can’t resist stealing kisses and do so by grabbing their face and planting one right on their smacker! lol

Oh, but Rascal is into french kissing and often tries to “slip us the tongue” while licking our faces. lol

My male, Bentley is a BIG kisser! He is a non STOP kisser, he loves giving kisses, especially to the baby!
Sofie, on the other hand, will give kisses out.. when SHE feels like it. But if you try and give her a kiss, she will run away faster than you can say biscuit!

Awww… Henry is soo little!!

Mr. Skittles is very affectionate and gives kisses and he likes to receive them.  The only time he really doesn’t want a kiss is when he knows I have to leave him home to go to work.  I get the big sad eyes.. makes me sad!

My Annabelle is the best kisser in the world!!!  She loves to get and give kisses.  I’m going to send in a photo of her in our “Pug Kissing Booth”.  Annabelle often raises donations for Southeast Pug Resuce & Adoption in the kissing booth.  Our record is $200 in 6 hours smile and she LOVES all the attention!!

Haha, a projectile kisser! That’s what Lucy is too. She loves to kiss chins, in hopes that she can sneak a nibble too. Teething…

Rosie, Chloe and Zoey love kisses…not Marty.  He will come very close to your face in bed, but will never give a kiss.  He barely tolerates me when I smooch him…

If Ruby is very excited (like when we go for a car ride, or when I first get home after being out) she gives kisses.  Other than that, she isn’t into it very much.

And she HATES when I kiss her.  Of course, I love to give her smooches so I make her tolerate it every once in a while.  She looks annoyed, sighs, groans, and makes grimmally noises until I stop - tee hee!  If I say “I’m gonna kiss your nose” or “How about a great big kiss on the lips?” she will jump down and sit just out of my reach ROFL!

My biggest challenge is trying to kiss her on the nose.  I have only managed it like twice.  One day I will be victorious!

Ahh that is so cute! He looks so sad that yuo gave him kisses!
Gus is a big licky kisser, an allover face washer! I have been teaching him to give nice kisses, which is only a lick or 2). I like to sneak in and give him kisses before he gets the chance to kiss me back!

Indy is a huge kisser but if I ask, she won’t give me kisses. The lil beast is stubborn! But she gives very nice dainty kisses when I get my nice ones.
She also loves to sniff my eyes, day or night. smile

My Baxter is totally stingy when it comes to kissing.  He wasn’t always that way…I don’t think…after a decade with my boy it’s sometimes hard to remember those puppy days.  He hardly ever gives them out anymore but to my delight he planted one on me yesterday for mom’s day.  Now Riley…well he can’t stop kissing…he’s a lickin’ machine.  I steal kisses daily from the big boy…and he knows when I’m comin’!

Chelsea loved kisses.  She would actually lift her face up to me so I could kiss her on the forehead between the eyes or right on her smacker.  She also loved to sneak in the razor thin tongue.  She could succeed even when you had your lips tightly pressed together.  Luckily, she stopped doing that as she got older.  But, she always gave lots of kisses when asked for them.

My Lucy is a master kisser! Sometimes I can’t get her to stop, especially at bed time. She sleeps curled around my head, so before she settles in, she kisses me for 10 minutes or so. It use to drive me nuts, but now it has become part of our routine, and I have learned to just lie there and wait until she’s had her fill.
We like to play this game where I will quickly tap her mouth with my nose and she tries to see if she can get a kiss in before I pull back.
The other day I reprimanded her for chewing my daughter’s prom shoe, 10 minutes before she was to leave for the prom - UH OH! A few moments later I tried to get a kiss from Lucy and she snubbed me. I was shocked and actually felt hurt. Who has who trained?? Lol!

Carla,

Our Brandy is like Rascal, everytime my husband yawns she tries to give him a french kiss. It’s fun to watch his reaction grin

Toeby is a sweetheart and will be very tolerant of kisses.  He’s not a licker and very seldom gives me kisses but they’re very sweet when he does.  C.J. on the other hand has a licking problem!  He will kiss anything. Me, my pant leg, my chair, the couch, the newspaper, whatever he can get his tongue on!  He especially loves to try to “taste” my hand lotion when I’m trying to lotion my legs, sometimes with run-by swipes as I chase him off!

Karen B:  My Riley LOVES lotion…it’s one of his favorite times of day - post shower lotion applications!  I always joke that his insides must be silky smooth!!

If Nico knows you will let him kiss you on the face he will give you a Face Bath!

LOL! I call it pug molestation! hehehe..My old guy Benee doesn’t like the kisses (only on his whirl on his chest)...on the cheeks - no way! I steal them ALL The time! He gets all mad and pushes me away and will either yawn (that stinky fish oil breath) or fart…sweet huh?
My rescue will tolerate a shower of kisses and then off he goes to play!

I’m lucky, both of my girls love to get and give kisses.  I can be holding Sleighbelle and say, “where’s my suggie?” and she turns and give me one!  Birdy is mostly deaf, so I don’t ask her for suggies, I just take them from her and she gladly gives them!

Heather, Sleighbelle is crazy about the “after shower kisses” too!  I call them “shower-sugars”!  Every day, she waits for me to get out of the shower, and then the sugars begin…she’s a nut.

Heather, that is too funny!  I’m sure C.J. has ESP when it comes to opening the lotion bottle.  He can hear it from anywhere in the house!  LOL!!

Aw our Marley is the same way. He hates when we love on him. And by love I mean hug him and kiss him. I think he feels too crowded or something. But He was raised by a man, I came into the picture kinda late so I think had I been there with him from his puppyhood he’d be all about some huggin and kissing. But our other pug Susie Q LOVES to be loved on. She is such a lap dog too. NO matter what your Pug’s preference is, they are the BEST aren’t they! NOthing like coming home after a long/bad day and having that smiling little face and curly tail wagging smile

The new baby, Edward, is a kissy face. He is very affectionate, and I wonder if it had to do with his having 7 (yes, seven!) brothers and sisters and having to get a supplemental bottle feed every two hours—getting much handling and many, many kisses. He loves to be held on his back. Good things happen when you’re held like that!
Lola, my precious, doesn’t mind being kissed, but she’s stingy about giving them. Maybe, MAYBE once in a while, but certainly not when I ask. What stinks is that for brother (my grown son) she always has her dainty little kisses. But she will absolutely not kiss him goodbye.
Gracie puts her mouth on your mouth but doesn’t lick. It’s very cute. And she will give you her kind of kiss anytime you ask.
~~Lola looks remarkably like Henry!
Love,
Kelly
