Beach Day

Luna, Henry and Benjamin

As odd as this may sound, considering that is only April, I'm hoping that we are able to squeeze in one more beach day with the pugs this spring. We tried to take the pugs to the beach last weekend, but it was just too hot. I'm sure we can sneak in an evening trip to the beach, but I would like to be able to get in one more day of fun where we don't have to worry about the puggers overheating. We'll have to wait and see if mother nature cooperates.

I tell ya, if you have to have problems, these are the types of problems to have. grin

Just by looking at the picture, it is evident the pugs are having a lot of fun. I too hope they can enjoy more days at the beach.

How are you and the pugs doing in the new routine?

Enjoy your weekend everyone.  Sue I hope your snow melts fast.  Western Kansas had blizzard conditions last night.  I sure am glad I live in eastern Kansas.

Yeah Corrine, I would like some of those problems!  Too hot for puggies means perfect for momma to sun!  Sigh, no beach days here.  I was absolutely freezing today…sun is shining, but dang is it cold.

So jealous to see the gang looking just awesome in that pic frolicking in the sand!!  Have fun and I will hope that mother nature gives you a pug-fitting morning this weekend to hit the beach!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Oh man, there she goes teasing us with the beach again…here’s a rock for your shoe, Corrine!  The past week, the Swamp Pugs have been laboring with their breathing and it hasn’t been all that hot.  Time to get some ice cubes going.  Actually, it doesnn’t seem to affect Abby unlike the black ones.  I think I’ve got defective merchandise - NOT!  Just little hot tamalies.

They look so happy in the sun. And you are right Corrine, these are definitely the types of problems to have!!!

Huckle ~ ‘defective merchandise’! I love it! I don’t like being hot and neither does Pip. We had to turn our a/c on last Saturday b/c it was so humid. And now last night, we had the heat on. Only in Nebraska!!! smile

We still have Susie the weenie dog with us and she doesn’t like wind or rain so it’s a challenge getting her to go outside. Let’s just say I’m stealing Huckles (sometime) signature today! smile

Have a great weekend everyone!

Pug Hugs from Gina, Pip and Susie’s a pooper!

Sorry Gina, Kansas has the same thing…one day ac, the next day heat, plus heat in the morning, ac in the afternoon, heat again in the evening.  My furnace/ac are confused.

While I’m no fan of humidity or any sort moisture in the air - Springtime in Iowa isn’t “all that” either!  Last weekend we were sitting through a 80-90 degree warm up and tornadoes snaking across the state, now it’s dropped back down to the 40’s and drizzle, drizzle, brrrrr.  And Bella with her allergies has me cleaning “eye-winkies” from her baby-brown’s everytime we turn around - feeding her alternate doses of Benadryl and Cranberry pills to keep the UTI’s at bay.  Maybe we should look at relocating.  I’ve a feeling she’d do better with sand and grass and A/C 80% of the year as opposed to furnace heat for 80%.  Looking out my rain-streaked window today, that beach scene had me ready to pack up the car!
Sorry - I may be closer to the brink than I thought today.  Helps to “share” . . . mutter, mutter, mutter.
Everyone have a GREAT WEEKEND no matter what part of the country you live in.  At least we’re cleaning up after earthquakes and tsunami’s!

That beach does look mighty inviting…. Lucky pugs, I have never even been to the beach. But that’s okay, maybe someday. Not many beaches in central texas.Right now wild fires are keeping everyone on pins and needles especially in west and north texas. I woke up this am about 2 and could smell smoke. It was scary but no telling how far away it was, the wind was blowing so high. Happy weekend to everyone, I will have a good one. Tomorrow is Levi’s 2nd bd so we will have lots of sponge bob and little boys here.

Just notice some major gaffs in my too-quickly typed rant.  Should read:  “sand THAN grass” and “at least we’re NOT cleaning up after earthquakes . . . .”

While I don’t envy Floridians their humidity and palmetto bugs - Iowa isn’t any better with our corn-growing humidity and mosquitoes!  But there are those lovely sandy beaches.  Ah well, the bitter with the sweet.  And Bella keeps me entertained, no matter what the weather.

Thanks, Sue for the birthday wishes. Wish Romeo and you could celebrate with us, too. It is so funny to watch Sir Luke and Genevieve with the grandsons. They think they need to be right up in their business. Surpisingly the boys are very gentle with the pugs. So thankful for that.

Brenda, I think pugs and kids are the greatest.
