Beggar

Henry

I can't remember what I was eating here, but it must have been something pretty good because Henry has pulled out all the stops. It is unusual for Henry to blatantly beg like this. He usually likes to play it cool and act interested, but not too interested. Whereas Ben will just sit and drool at your feet.

Hungry Hank, LOL.  Just want to smooch his face…he’s perfectly poised, curly Q and all in this pic.  Hope you got a bite sweet boy!

Gina, poor Pip!  My goodness :-(...hoping you got in lots of good snuggles last night…still thinking of you both and prayers going up.

Prayers for you and Georgie too Huckle!

Sue VDB - How has it been the past couple of days with your regained eyesight?  Are you getting used to it yet?  So so wonderful!

Pug love to all!

(P.S.  I’m gonna upload a couple pics to the gallery in the next day or so…my friend did a photo shoot of me and the boys last weekend.  Mr. Baxter decided he only wanted to give the paparazzi profile shots, but Cole was full-on ham…stay tuned!).

Henry, this is a perfectly beautiful pose…absolutely love it.

Gina, Pip, Huckle and Georgie, you are continually in my prayers.  Please keep us updated.

Heather, joyfully anticipating the family picture.

Heather, I think I am so used to having the right eye do everything for me, I haven’t quite adjusted, or I have and am not aware of it.  I know that sounds strange, but I believe I need to make a conscientious effort to retrain myself.  I am finally getting over the shock of this marvelous miracle.

sue states, thank you.

Oh my gosh, if this pose isn’t worthy of an Oscar, I don’t know what would be!  Henry, you are beyond adorable and I know that this little pose made you very successful in your quest for a nibble!!!

And here I thought Henry was engaged in his nightly prayers, not begging…

Gina, our prayers for each other’s pugs are probably meeting in the middle for high 5s!

Georgie is doing so much better so I assume the RX is taking hold and providing him some relief, at least for the next two weeks or so.  I did hear Abby coughing yesterday and I about froze in my step, but the coughing didn’t last long and wasn’t quite the same as Georgie’s was anyway.  Thank you all for your support for Georgie.

On a more personal note, this is wacky…I woke up this morning with another fat lip!  This time was much bigger than the previous two and I’m stymied.  I’ve taken to sleeping with one eye open as it is.

so cute, my puggie boy gets right in your face when he can in order to make sure he always get the last bite.

Oh and to all the fellow pug parents, have you heard of the 1000 pugs project?  If not check it out http://1000pugs.com/

Huckle, I’m so happy Georgie is doing better.

I’m also really curious to know how you get a fat lip in the middle of the night.  Somepug (or could it be Cooper, since you don’t even want to mention him), is doing a number on you, or you have some sort of night syndrome.  Surely you’re not dreaming and doing this to yourself, are you?

I know this may be a silly guestion BUT who was shooting the picture????? Anyway if it was really good hope he got extra bites!!! Love you pretty one.

I have given up getting a pug through a rescue up here. My daughter who is now 50 and been around pugs since she was very little was unable to get one through these people. She suggest we wait until the first of the year and she will help be find one.

At least I have Gwen and “Baby” Mercy!!! This guy thinks he is a lap dog and should be able to sleep with me!! At 80-lbs he can knock me out of the bed FAST!!! SO we are putting a gate at my door so he will go upstairs and sleep with my daughter!!!

Hey kids, we are having major computer problems so if I disappear for awhile. They are wiping the desktop clean and we start anew with that.. At the moment the laptop is working and the PC will be back next week and then we have to work on the laptop.

Sue VDB, I hadn’t thought of that.  Interesting theory.

Hellen, did you try Petfinders?  Our black ones came through them.

Sue VDB, just think of all the things you can now see…telephone book, back of cereal boxes, the capthas(my spelling’s off) etc.  smile  Sincerely happy for you.

Gina - how’s the little guy doing? Praying for you both.  Thinking about you both as I go through the day. How is the vomiting with Pip?  Give him a smooch from us and tell him it will be alright and he can get back to being Pip.

Robin, we need some stories

Pug hugs and a few snorts as well

Opps, meant to tell y’all how much your support means.

Sue VDB

Say all OBP people.  Does anyone know a pug rescue that would adopt to Hellen, and have volunteers in place who would convoy that pug to Hellen.  I’ve read of this being done with other rescues, where a dog is rescued, driven to a destination, met by another volunteer who drives to another destination, etc. until that baby finally arrives home.  Maybe that would be a way for Hellen to get her pug.

Huckle

11/18/2011

Sue VDB, that is a great idea.  Oh, I hope some one can pick up on that.  It might take some doing, but….  She would probably have to sign up for the rescue group herself, but that way transportation wouldn’t be a problem and she could explain her situation from the get-go.  What do you think of Sue’s idea, Grannie Pug?

Hello everyone. Sorry I was MIA yesterday. It was busy. Everyone else has been busy too!

Sue VDB ~ How is the eye doing? Retraining your eye makes sense. And that is a great idea of a convoy for Hellen. I will keep my eyes and ears open!

Huckle ~ Our prayers are definitely meeting in the middle! So glad Georgie is doing better. And maybe Sue is right… maybe Cooper is doing something. You should set up a video camera. smile

Heather ~ Can’t wait to see the pics!

Hellen ~ Still praying for you and your family.

Pip is at the vet again today. He was there all day Wednesday, yesterday and today again. I do get to bring him home at night so thats good. He is having an ultra sound of his pancreas done today at 11:00 so they can see it more in depth or ‘diagnostically’. Praying that it is just inflamed and no necrosis and no tumors. He may get to come home early today! Fingers crossed. He had to wear a cone last night b/c they kept the catheter in his leg and wrapped it. It is so sad when they wear the cones. It’s all fun and games until someone ends up in a cone!

So thats the Pip update!

Pug Hugs to all from Gina & Pip!

Gina

11/19/2011

Here is my next Pip update: He had his ultra-sound Friday on his pancreas to see why it isn’t healing. Well they found a few things. His pancreas doesn’t have any necrosis (dead areas that would need to be surgically removed) and there were no lumps or masses on it. So thats good. It’s just very inflamed. They did find a nodule (vet’s words) on his spleen and it has liquid in it. They don’t know if it is cancerous fluid or not and the only way to find out would be surgery. The vet’s instinct is telling him it isn’t cancer but we just don’t know. Then, they found free floating fluid in the abdomen possibly from the pancreas. Then they found stones in his bladder! They could get rid of those by changing his diet but that isn’t a good idea right now b/c of his diabetes. So…the vet thinks we should “shelve” the surgery and the changing of the food b/c right now, that would just throw everything even more out of whack than it already is.

Pip was at the vet again today and then Mon, Tues and Wed of next week. While he is there, he is getting strong anti-biotics, fluids and his insulin. That way, they can monitor him and make sure it doesn’t get out of whack by getting too much or too little insulin. They are trying to keep everything calm and get it under control. I miss him so much in the daytime but at least he gets to come at night. And when I pick him up, he is always happy and wagging his tail. He likes everyone there so I know he is being treated very well.

So continued prayers if you don’t mind. smile He seems ok when he is at home. Last night he was carrying his piggy around and sleeping very soundly.

Thanks for listening ladies! Pug Hugs all the way around.

Gina, thank you for the update on your precious Pip.  He is really having a tough time of it, and I know it is difficult for you as well.

Of course prayers are going up…they have been.  Don’t EVER be afraid to ask for prayers.  They are our best bet, and I know we offer them freely.

Give your sweetheart gentle kisses and hugs from me, and tell him to get well soon.l

Thank you Sue! How are you and your babies fairing? Everyone feeling okay. Pug Hugs to you! Giving Pip extra smooches from you. smile

Gina, thanx for keeping us all posted about Pip.

Huckle, glad to hear Georgie is getting better, and really you need to invest in a night vision video camera.  Are you getting enough rest? Maybe could be related to an immune system response.  Using a new lip product? Those are my only other thoughts at the moment.

Now as far as transport for a pug for Hellen, I have heard of Pilots N Paws Pet Rescue.  They have a website.  I would look into that. I know they have transported dogs from one state to another to be fostered for sure. Here is the website :http://pilotsnpaws.org/  I hope maybe that could be of some help.
