Benjamin in Wonderland?

Benjamin

I must confess that I needed a little bit of outside help when compiling this post. On April 14th, I posted a blog called Pug Sized. Well, in this post, I feel like either "Honey I Blew Up the Benny!" or "Honey, I Shrunk the Fire Hydrant!" Then I was thinking of that song "Go Ask Alice" and knew something along the lines that there was a link to Alice in Wonderland. Alice apparently eats a bite of chocolate and either grows or shrinks depending on which piece she eats.

So, here we have Benjamin in Wonderland. It seems that Benny ate the special chocolate to make him be bigger than the fire hydrant when before he was about the same size. Now he towers over the hydrant. Whoa! (The obvious reality is that we actually 2 turquoise colored fire hydrants. One is quite small and the other is Benjamin sized.)

In an honorable spoof of the lyrics to Jefferson Airplane's 'Go Ask Alice'....one hydrant made Benny larger and one hydrant made him small and the one that he gets to pee on doesn't do anything at all. That is about where the comparison ends, of course. There are no Mad Hatters, Caterpillars, disappearing cats or white rabbits. Its just Benny and the big and small hydrants.

This sounds like a post I would make, since I am totally in love with all things Alice in Wonderland;  I got ya right away Corrine.  Abby’s kitty sister that lives at grandma’s house is even named Dinah, after the cat that Alice plays with on her lap right before she falls down the rabbit hole.

But, dang, that is one giant Benny.  All the more to love, I say <3 smile

Corrine, I marvel all the time at your talent, but I do believe you have topped it with this post.  When I first saw the picture of Benjamin and the small hydrant, I thougt there was something funny about it.  You are right, the small one makes Benjamin look like a giant…and he is in his heart.

Corrine, I must agree with Sue VDB…what an awesome, awesome post!  I, too, am a big fan of Alice in Wonderland and it is even better with Benny!!!  How adorable that you have the two hydrants…So cool!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.  Spend lots of quality time with your puggers!  I couldn’t be happier that it is Friday.

Benny Baby, this is too cute.  At first I didn’t get the Alice thing, as it has been a long time since I seen Wonderland, and I didn’t have a chance to see the remake with Johnny Depp, but I did get it lol
Brenda - Happy Birthday #10 to Sir Luke and 17th b-day to your grand daughter, may they both have an awesome weekend.
Enjoy the weekend everyone.. pug hugs all!

happy 10th Sir Luke! Being a huge Jefferson Airplane fan from the way back 60’s, couldn’t help but think Benny may be wondering “Where’s the Mushrooms? Must leave them alone!” Big or small-Benny is tops! And likewise Corrine, you have definitely topped the charts with this hit! Pug hugs from the Colorado -YES in case you are wondering it is still snowing!!-5

sue s, just how much snow have you had?  That sounds depressing.  Kansas City hasn’t had any snow for a while, but it seems that permanent Spring is never going to get here. The weatherman said we would probably go from cool to hot…ugh.

Hi Sue VDB, We had a dusting of snow AGAIN last night. We have had snow since mid-October. We have had a white Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, St.Patrick’s Day, Easter (For that matter all of Holy Week)Easter, and I suspect the chances are good for a white Memorial Day,too. The long time residents say they have had snow on July 4th. I like a white Christmas, but really prefer a green Easter! This is life in the Rockies of Colorado. However, I will say I’ll take snow over tornadoes any day and my thoughts and prayers are with those who are suffering through these horrific storms! Pug Hugs to all-The Colorado 5
