I was flipping through my pictures last weekend and came across this shot of Benjamin and Luna from April 2009. My first thought was "Awww", but then I was like, "Wow, look how dark Luna's face is!"
I'm pretty good at remember to take pictures to capture events, but I never seem to go back and look at them. I love to look at old pictures and surprise myself with pictures I forgot I had taken.

so heart warming!! Pugs are just so affectionate..love them , love them, love them…
My first thought was Awwww as well. As our pugs age we don’t realize how their looks change until we go back to look at older pictures.

Don’t you just love it when the Pugs use one another for pillows? Luna’s coloring reminds me so much of my Abby’s. Very dark, although my COW weighs over 20# to Luna’s 12-13. There are times when I’ll see a pic of Luna and think, for a second, that it is Abby. Then I’ll see Abby in some pose or other and think it Luna.
Pug mama, this heat will break soon and you’ll have your Abby home. And even though Abby has a playmate, there is nothing like being home with Mom.
Friends, can I please ask for prayers and good wishes? I need them for my beloved Baxter. I can’t be long-winded b/c I’ll end up sobbing at work - again - so gonna keep it short…He’s always had bad eyes (we are on 3 daily meds, twice a day) and his right has always been the “better” of the two. His opthamologist has said for years that’s the only one he has sight in (although I fail to believe this and am convinced he still has some in his left eye…well until last night I guess)...Last night when I got home he was keeping his “good” eye shut…totally disoriented and then the worst of it - he fell down the stairs (before I could fully tell what was going on) because he couldn’t see where he was, he careened head first into the ottoman that was right in front of him, crashed into Cole, the water bowl, me…
Anyway, I’m beside myself…Taking him to Boston at 8 AM tomorrow. Doc says he needs to see if there’s an ulcer or something else going on in there….
Prayers my baby doesn’t lose the last of his sight yet…please….

Heather so sorry to hear about Baxters fall and his eye sending lots of good thought and prayers for you and Baxter and some pug hugs to you both please let us know after he sees the vet we are here for you

Huckle, have a very Happy Birthday! Maybe your gift card could buy some sort of pug doodads. I have pug figurines, afghan, bookends, books, pictures, beanie babies, etc. In fact, I call my shelves where I display it all my “pug shrine”. (I don’t mean to be irreverant.)
And the picture of Luna and Benjamin is wonderful. It makes me want to lay down and cuddle, too.

Maybe something to make you smile - My human children have a guitar and it is laying on the floor. The girls are back in the playroom so I thought I was alone. Well, it sounded like someone just strummed the guitar. I turned and caught the end of Pip tripping over the guitar. Nice tune Pip.

Heather am praying for Baxter. I had a very old pug that went blind. He did great in the house and when we took him out on a leash to do his thing and walk he loved it.

Kids, thank you all for the good wishes. For some reason I did not see them until today (Friday). My husband’s been filling out a detailed (and I mean detailed) application for a coaching job and I just must of not gotten, or be able, to get back on.
Heather, I missed this message about Baxter. I hope by now you have some word on what’s going on. I have a book that I have not had time to read yet, about a cat who was blind and the lessons he taught his owner. It’s Homer’s Odyssey by Gwen Cooper. You might want to read it.
