“Oh, hi mom, aren’t you suppose to be working?”

This picture is priceless!  I love it smile  It looks like Benny and Henry sure had a great time!  Too funny!

Huckle, if you’re adding our babies to the rainbow bridge list, I have three wonderful puggers waiting on me:
Miss Granny, 13ish years (rescue)
Lady, 8 months (rescue) and
Ellie, 15 1/2 years (rescue)

And if you decide to do location, we’re in Gainesville, FL.

Sue VDB, I hope you got everything sorted out with the fraud. The same thing happened to us a couple years ago at Christmas time.  It was a huge mess!

“Oh Benny, you’ve been caught red tongued! Someone’s gettin’ in trouble, someone’s gettin’ in trouble!”

I can’t even sympathize.  Same scene yesterday - right behind my chair - and I was in it and didn’t hear a thing.  Mine was Cooper wrestling the kleenex out of the box.  Imagine my surprise when I went to get up from the chair.  Pugs and Boxers seem to have this “thing” for tearing paper products up.

Andi - your remark was so funny.  Well, actually they all have me hiccuping with laughter.

All - any more of you want me to add Rainbow Bridgers to the list?  Let me know.

Marcia Martin

OMG! OUR FRIEND’S BROWNIE THE CHIHUAHUA IS GONE!
FOR THOSE WHO HADN’T HEARD THE NEWS:
BROWNIE WAS FOUND DEAD AT THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. OWNER HAD TO MOURNFULLY PICK UP HER REMAINS THEN FIRED THE HUMAN WHO COULDN’T CATCH HER ON TIME.
FULL STORY:
Brownie’s owners (Boss) left her locked up in a bedroom while they left for the historic town in Key West. The apartment being occupied by other workers who loved animals. One human (not going to say his name) heard Brownie whine and thought that taking her out for a walk would ease her whining and that maybe she just needed to relieve herself. After about an hour later the human returned to the apartment without Brownie. He quickly went to wake up our Grandpa who fell asleep after a long hard day of work to ask for help searching for the runaway chihuahua. According to the witness who saw the human leave with Brownie - there was no leash taken with them. After a few more hours of searching for Brownie our Grandpa concluded that Brownie must have slipped through the gates of the apartment complex and ran off by HWY 1. They didn’t have the key to exit the gates which was why the gated apartment complex was dubbed a prison so a call was made to the boss about Brownie’s whereabouts. Without wasting a minute the Boss returned with his family (wife and 10 year old daughter) and began searching for Brownie outside the gated area.  The Boss took his truck out and drove down a few miles down and met with Brownie’s mangled body.  He had pulled over his truck and collected the remains of his beloved dog. When he returned to the apartment complex, the human who had lost Brownie was instantly fired due to his lack of responsibility and the mourning process began. Brownie was supposed to be spending time with her family for the rest of this week. Brownie and her family got to the apartment complex Sunday night and Monday afternoon Brownie was gone.  Let us all send our puggy blessings to Brownie who has now joined other dogs over at the Rainbow Bridge.
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS OF THIS TRAGEDY?

Simply Pug - re: your report.  Unfortunately I am trying to figure the story out as my response would be different depending on whether the item was real (it sounds like it) or a riddle of some sort.  Since you haven’t heard any replies, perhaps I am not alone with this confusion.  Is this concerning a friend of your or, pray no, your own?

Simply Pug and Huckle - Huckle I was a little confused about this story as well and it has been puzzling me as to a response also.  Simply Pug, can you please let us know more about this?

Hi Mom, Wasn’t this yesterdays paper? OH-Sorry about that-look at it this way, mom, no news is good news?! love the pic!! Been away for awhile and catching up-hope all the issues with credit and others have been resolved. Huckle, please add my beloved boston buttons to the list-she was 13 years old at her passing on March 31st, 2001 at 12:00 noon. Still miss her, as I know you all can relate to this, I mention my broken heart. As for the KIDS-Beauty is doing well after her ear infection. The 2 newbies Proto & sister Solsie are growing like weeds. Their house potty training is going fairly well and have to remind myself they are only 10 weeks old. They love playing with Daisey-the boston auntie. Pug-hugs to all from the Colorado 5

“Uh…yeah…I can explain…”

Huckle

09/15/2010

sue s - see, I knew you “sues” would be the death of me.  One of the lists had Buttons listed but I must somehow have deleted it. Time for me to do a little proof reading.  I’m sorry about that but I’m glad you told me.  BTW - how old is Beauty?  I don’t have that down.  I do see that I have you down twice, however.  Once as sue s and once as Sue.  Couldn’t I just call you something like “Harold”?  That would clear things up in my head! Then I’d only have three, not five “sues” to worry about. smile  Seriously, though, I can tell how much the loss of Buttons nine years ago still hurts.  She must have been very special.

09/15/2010

Hi Huckle-Thanks for the early morning chuckle!! Beauty is 2 years old and is the mama pug to Proto & Solsie. Hmm, it seems we have a SUE ISSUE-I included my last name initial “S” to help with the confusion-if more is needed-please let me know we can add pastor. Buttons was and is very special as are all our sweet fur babies.Thank you for noting that-she was my “crutch” through some tough times and when she started having issues, I asked her to hold on cause I needed her and she did-and so I did my best to hold up for her when she needed the rest and peace she needed at the rainbow bridge.Peace & Blessings-call me pastor Sue S and the Colorado 5

09/20/2010

Ummm I was helping you recycle…saved you lot of time!!!

I thought the list was for the babies we have now!

Waiting for me are way to many to count. The first was a black spaniel, Fluffy. She was a baby and left us 10+ years later. Pugs: Hurk 1, Hurk 2 (almost 20 years) Otis, Prissie (rescues Pugs) several stayed with us the last week or so of thier lives, enjoying love and comfort. We had many that got new homes. We had a dozen or more firs started from seedlins on our three acres.
Lots are there.
