Chin Rest

Benjamin and Luna

It must be hard work holding all those wrinkles up, because Benjamin is forever resting his chin on something.

Last Sunday, when we were reading the Sunday paper, Luna was all curled up on the chair when Benny suddenly hopped up on her chair and wedged himself between her and the chair. He then promptly used her as a chin rest. Neither Luna nor Henry seem to mind when Benny butts in. They are a good bro and sis that way. And I never mind because all of Benjamin's butting in makes for good photos. grin

mmm a little chin resting!  What the wrinkles, especially when you put him next to Luna, who doesn’t seem to have any! Divas don’t get wrinkles!! that is the way it should be!
She could be saying"Oh Brother!”  heehee

I love this picture! How sweet is this!!! I love how one of Luna’s eyes are open. It’s like she is saying, “Mom, is there something on my back?”

Aww, how sweet.  Benjamin is simply a big cuddlebug.

When I saw the caption, my first thought was of Solsey resting her little chin on the chair rungs.

I’m with Gina…What happened Sue VDB?  I missed a couple days over the holidays…

C.J. always needs a chin rest.  He puts his chin down and then wiggles his head to get settled in just right.  It’s cute and very endearing.

Gina and Karen B, Monday I had to have my 19 year old cat, Jassy, put to sleep.

Heather, thank you for asking. I am doing ok.  It is just very hard to think of her not being here.  After seeing her for 17-1/2 years it’s hard to not see her pretty little face.  I can’t even keep something she left because it bloody urine on it, so it had to be washed because the odor was very strong, and I don’t want that kind of rememberance of her.  Jassy was a very quiet little cat, but there is still a big silence here.  Thank goodness I have Romeo, Minnie, Missy and Frankie.

My fervent wish is that there are no sad incidences for anyone else in 2011.

Sue VDB! I am so sorry. The loss of a pet is so hard to go through. Especially after having them so long. Please know that we are all here for you and that we are all sending our love and prayers your way. I know this doesn’t help much but know that Jassy is in a much better place and I’m sure is so grateful for your love and compassion. I strongly believe that. God Bless Sue!

Sue, I am so sorry to hear about Jassy. She sure did live a long life and I’m sure a very good one at that. I will be thinking of you.
Sir Luke and Genevieve use me as their chin rest almost every morning when I wake up. Sometimes i feel like I am sewed up in a sleeping bag. One on each side of my legs.

Sue VDB, I know exactly what you mean…and it is so so hard…in my opinion, it never gets easier, only harder.  I am with you about the rest of 2011…I pray those same sentiments with all my might every morning.  Love to you…we are here when you need to talk (Corrine, I wouldn’t mind if you gave Sue my email address, if she’d want it, in case she ever needs to “talk”)...

Thinking of you ~

Hey Kids - try saying “wrinkle rester” five times in a row.  I think that’s another phrase for our “Pug-tinary”.

Oh yes, dear little Solsey.  I know the pictures you mean and it’s bittersweet always to think of her.  Rest in peace, little one.

Sue VDB - my heart continues to pray for your healing over Jassy

Words cannot express my appreciation for all the prayers and kind comments.  OBP landers are truly kind and generous.  Your concern has really touched my heart, and has really helped me deal with Jassy’s loss.  I’ve said this before, and now again with much love, this group is fantastic, and even though I don’t know you personally, we are always there for each other, and I am experiencing this personally.

I don’t do this often, but my email address is svandeberghe@gmail.com.

Hugs, hugs and hugs to all of you.  Sue VDB
