Doesn’t Miss a Beat

Is that my car?

Henry just doesn’t miss a trick.  The other evening, Henry and I were out for our little evening walk and I knew our car was parked in front of Grammy’s house up the street.  It was around the corner from the route we were taking on our walk, so I didn’t think Henry would notice.  We got to the corner, checked for cars and then proceeded to cross the street.  Henry got halfway across the street before he stopped smack in the middle of the street and stared at the car.  He took a good couple of sniffs and then looked at me like, “Hey, what’s my car doing here?”  At that point the walk was over.  Henry loves walks, but he just loves car rides more.  Knowing that it was his car, he made a beeline for the truck.  I couldn’t convince him to finish out his walk, he insisted on being driven home.

It is truly amazing how smart they are, isn’t it…chauffeur driven ride home, now that’s the way to go in style Henry!!

P.S.  Can I say how jealous I am of your clean, snow free, palm tree lined streets?  Taking the boys out in the disgust of winter is getting soooo old…on to warmer pastures soon…

I’m with Henry… why walk when you can be driven home?!

It is so funny how they notice cars.  There is a blue car that parks beside our house all the time.  Once Ruby was used to it, she paid it no mind.  Then one day a RED car was parked there.  She acted all suspicious, muffed at it, and gave it a wide birth like it was a stranger with candy ROFL!

It was nice of you to oblige with the ride home.
