G-Ma’s Coming to Town

Benjamin, Luna and Henry

Later this evening we will be picking up G-Ma from the airport. The pugs will be super excited to see her because she always brings lots of goodies in her suitcase. G-Ma's packing philosophy is to pack only the bare essentials that she needs and then fill the rest of her suitcase with goodies for the pugs and Cupid.

So, for the next few days the pugs will be spoiled beyond belief. I don't think they would have it any other way.

I can’t think of 3 pugs who deserve to be spoiled more than these 3.( And of course Cupid)  Enjoy your visit.

Everyone needs a G’ma to spoil them!  I would like to make some pugkin bread for Bella.  Would you share your recipe?

all three deserve to be spoiled its so nice for them to have a G’Ma to spoil them and I am sure they love every minute of it and that includes cupid

I wanted to let everyone know about my Abby she went in on tuesday for x-rays on her back left leg as it was not getting better and they found Abby has the back problem which we already knew but she also has hip dysplacia in both hips and arthritis in both hips and back so now she will need surgey on one of her hips and maybe the second they do one first and let it heal my poor baby has been through so much the last few weeks she just had the surgery to remove the two mass cell tumors two weeks ago all of this and she is only six years old

Gee Corrine, you make it sound like the only time the kids get spoiled is when G-Ma is in town.  Huh, I think that is a falsehood!  Those babies get spoiled every single day…as they should be.

Enjoy the visit!  And the pugkin bread!

Hope the puggies hae a great time with G-Ma… always good when G-ma comes to visit!!

Sue.. prayers for your Abbey, hope all will be well soon.

It is Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada.  On top of that, on saturday, my wonderful daughter turns 18, my mother is getting married and we have turkey dinners to attend.
Amongst all this flurry of activity , as I count my blessing I will include each and everyone here at OBP, you have been a fantastic group of people with whom I share things with daily, thru our love of pugs.
The power of pug prayer is amazingly awesome.

Have a wonderful weekend all, and happy thnksgiving from us in Nova Scotia!  xoxo

G-ma coming?  Does this mean a new Puffy? (BTW - how is ole Puffy surviving?)

mrharrypug - Amen!

sue - oh I’m so sorry Abby has to endure more medical procedures.  Bless her little heart.  Does all of this have to be done right away or do you have some time?  Give a little smooooch on the top of her precious head from my Abby.  How is she on getting around?  Does she seem to be in pain or does she just move stiffly?  I just had an idea and I don’t know whether it’s naive or not, but could it help to put her in a tub of warm water, perhaps with epsom salts and do exercises with her?  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Abby.

Pug hugs,

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, G-Ma’s coming.  It’s not like they aren’t already spoiled, just getting more spoiled is the way this works I believe.  Sounds like the OBP household is in for a great weekend.

I had to laugh at G-Ma’s packing philosophy.  I wonder what airport security thinks of her luggage.

Sue, you and Abby have really had a rough time, but I bet your Abby is a little fighter, and will pull through all of this fine.  Your purse may be another matter.  With 5 animals in my house, and all seniors except for Frankie, the cat, I know how that goes, but also know they are worth every penny.  I continue to keep you and Abby on my prayer list.

Pat, you have a busy weekend.  Happy 18th birthday to your daughter; congratulations to your mother; enjoy all your turkey dinners.  Happy Canadian Thanksgiving Monday.

Can’t wait to hear from all of you wonderful people on Monday.

Hooray! g-ma is coming! Enjoy your time with her!!!

Sue~so sorry about Abby. Like SueVDB said~~I’m sure she is a fighter and will pull through. Give her kisses from Pip and I and we will say extra prayers for her (and you!)

Pat~Happy Thanksgiving~Happy Birthday~Congratulations! Sounds like a busy but exciting time!

I took Pip to our church’s pet blessing this past Sunday and as you guys might know~I’m trying to help Pip loose some weight….well, one of my friends greeted Pip by saying, “Hi Fatty”. It was in a very sweet and affectionate way and Pip wagged his tail but still!!! And her husband said he looked like a double bowling ball bag! Poor Pip! We’re trying though!

There is just something so special about those grandma’s, isn’t there pugs?  My grandma’s, one of them was Grandma Gumdrop cuz she always brought us gumdrops, the other one was Gramma Bank cuz she always brought us silver dollars!  Abby’s grammy is usually the one to refill her Charlie Bear supply, or to repair the ripped out seam of her Beatrix Bunny that she plays with endlessly!  Have fun with Gma you pugs, be sure to give her lots of sloppy kisses:-)

Pug Mama - “Grandma Gumdrop” - I love that.  Might be a good name for a Pug!  Darling.

Gina - one of the first things anyone says to Georgie is how well-rounded he is…that wheel barrow figure.  It rankles although no one means it meanly.  Still….I know what you mean.  Since he’s been on thryoid meds though I think his collar is looser and he doesn’t look quite so stuffed into his skin.  How you get a Pug to lose weight I don’t have a clue.  They are eating machines.

Pat - what is Thanksgiving in Canada like?  Turkeys and the whole American deal?

Pug hugs &
Huckle chuckles

Huckle~Stuffed into his skin is perfect! Yes-no one means to be mean and they ALWAYS smile when they see him. Which makes me smile b/c he always makes me happy. smile Pip is on an antihistamine with a low dose steroid so he is EXTRA EXTRA hungry. Poor dear. Have to control his eating habits. smile (he has bad allergies.)

Thats good that Georgie’s collar is loose! I bet he is more comfortable. smile
