Today, Baby Benny, hits double digits! The big 1-0.
Benny's approach to life has always been play hard, sleep hard and he still lives by those rules today. The only difference is he is now about 10% play 90% sleep.
He may have grayed a bit and put on a few extra pounds, but he is still the same old, lovable Baby Benny that is never far from his puff and always looking for pillows to fluff!

This is a happy occasion and I want to keep it that way.
I received the following fromj Sister Ann after Mass this morning, and I would like to share this beautiful prayer which brings a smile to my face.
Prayer At The Death Of A Pet
Lord God,
to those who have never had a pet, this prayer will sound strange, but to You Lord of All Life and Creator of All Creatures, it will be understandable.
My heart is heavy as I face the loss in death of my beloved Romeo who was so much a part of my life.
This pet made my life more enjoyable and gave me cause to laughl and to find joy in his company. I remember his fidelity and loyalty of this pet and will miss his being with me. From him I learned many lessons, such as the quality of naturalness and the unembarrassed request for affection.
In caring for his daily needs, I was taken up and out of my own self needs and thus learned to service another.
May the death of this creature of Yours remind me that death comes to all of us, animal and human, and that it is the natural passage for all life.
May Romeo sleep on in an eternal slumber in Your godly care as all creation awaits the fullness of liberation.

These birthday posts always make me so happy! This year, I’m a little saddened by it because my seven year old pug Lucy was diagnosed with cancer, and has lung tumors. I know she won’t make it to ten. But I hope Benny lives a long and happy life!
Nicole! I’m so sorry to hear about your baby. 7 is so young! I just lost my 7 year old pug last December. God Bless you! Tell us about Lucy. Is she fawn or black? Does she have any silly behaviors (what pug doesn’t!) Whats her favorite food? I will say prayers for you and Lucy.

Nicole, please accept my deepest sympathy for your Lucy. I just lost my Romeo last Saturday to oral melanoma. He was 13 and as tough as this is for me I can’t imagine having a little one so young going through this. I will hold you and Lucy ih my prayers. Please let us know how things are going. We at OBP care and will support you. I have received amazing support from this group. We are all here for you.
