Henry the Sea Lion?

Sea Lion at SeaWorld Orlando

I went to SeaWorld on Wednesday and the sea lion perched up on the rocks at the sea lion exhibit reminded me so much of Henry. If Henry was there, I'm pretty sure he'd be doing the same exact thing. Sunning himself on the rocks, oblivious to all the onlookers, just waiting for the designated feeding time so that he could catch all the fish thrown his way.

The killer whales also reminded me of pugs. As soon as a trainer touched one of the metal buckets of fish, the whales all darted over and bobbed at the trainers feet. Very pug like. Except the whales had to do some pretty cool tricks to get their treats grin

There’s a great song by Jane Siberry: “Everything Reminds Me of My Dog.”  Sounds like that’s true for you & me as well.  smile

Corrine, do you see a pattern of seeing so many things that remind you of those sweet little fu-babes-the pugs? It must be catching, I told our grandson just lat night that he looked like Beauty-especially when he turns his head from side to side-Pugs are DEFINITELY in control! Have a great week-end all from the COlorado3-4 Beauty, Daisey, Grandson & me

I often call Hooie Senor Faco, which translates to Mr. Seal in spanish.  I think that Pugs are very seal like, and walrus like too!  Blubbery, hungry, silly creatures that can do a certain amount of tricks:D

Instead of the sea lion I imagine handsome Henry sunning himself on those rocks, and what an adorable picture that is.

P.S. Please keep my Frankie cat in your thoughts and prayers.  Today, because of constant blocked urethra problems, his penis is being amputated and a “girl like” opening is being made.  I cringe every time I think of it.  Thanks OBP gang.

Oh Sue VDB, your poor kittie…He is in my prayers the poor little guy.  Hopefully this will give him relief.

Love sea lions and I definitely see the resemblance!!

Happy weekend to all in OBP land.  Much love from Heather, Baxter and Riley!

Sue VDB, I am so sorry to hear about Frankie.  That just sounds awful!  Of course, I will keep him in my prayers and hope for a speedy and successful recovery!

OBP, love the seal comparison! It is soooo true!  And I love seals almost as much as pugs!!  We actually had a seal on one of our roadways here locally yesterday and the Cali Highway Patrol had to protect it until rescue could get there and take it back to the water.  I did not hear how it got to the roadway or where it was from but it was quite a sight…and watching the CHP direct cars around it was great.  We have to protect all God’s creatures!

Happy weekend to all!

Hi OBP gang.  Thanks for the thoughts and prayers for Frankie.  I have been in contact with my vet twice.  Frankie’s surgery went well and this afternoon Jim says that he is doing very well.  He will stay at the clinic all weekend.  I will call again tomorrow and then again Monday to see what happens next.
Hopefully by then he won’t be as painful, although he is under pretty heavy pain killers.
