Her Throne

Luna

For productivity’s sake, I had to stop letting the pugs sit on my lap when I am working.  It isn’t so bad when there is just one, but when there is three, well that is a different story.

So to break the news to the pugs, I set out to find them a more comfortable alternative to my lap.  Little Luna has taken a liking to sleeping in a little round bed on my desk.  I think she likes the fact, that she has the softness of her bed and still gets to be on the desk.  She does a good job of staying in the bed too, so I don’t have to worry about her roaming around and causing any trouble, ahem, Benny.

She knows that it is her spot too!  As soon as I put the bed on the desk, she is right at my feet waiting for me to pick her up.  She circles once or twice and then plops herself down.  She gets to be cozy and is only a few inches away from me - a win win for us both.

I love the print, so diva for Miss Luna!
I also have to get a bigger desk… I do not have room to put a small bed on the top of my desk.  Mr. Skittles does sit/lay by feet where ever I am, and he does “a Benny” too, can’t sit still and has to roam around.

I think it is great that she gets to be on the desk! It has to make her feel good to be closer to your face than she would be on the floor since she doesn’t see well. From your photographs it looks like almost everything in the house matches the pugs. It’s very appealing!

Little Miss Luna figured out very quickly if she was a good little girl she could be up on the desk next to her mommie, where she could see her quite well.  What an adorable, smart little pug.  Even if I had a big desk, Romeo would not be content up there.  He is always close by me, but would not sit still long enough in one spot unless he was really zonked out.

How sweet she looks!  And we can understand your problem.  Hubby gets up really early and does a couple hours of work on the pc before work.  It started with Rascal, or as we now call him, Mr. Whiney Butt.  Once he started getting lap time, Biscuit decided he needed it, too, but not as often as Rascal does.  Daddy wasn’t able to work, even with one, but he doesn’t have a desk exactly:  he puts the laptop on top of the two-drawer file cabinet and has a small table about the size of the file cabinet that he writes on.  One day Rascal seemed to want to climb over to the table, so daddy helped and Rascal found his perch.  Now, if he can’t be in daddy’s lap, he’s content to lay on the tiny table.  Of course that only works when daddy doesn’t need to write. lol

BTW, the guys are in 38th place in the contest. Oh, and while roaming around at zootoo, I discovered a lady that works for CPR. Small pug world.  oh, also cool, the captcha for this post is “friends38” how appropriate!

That is so cute! I am usually sitting on the couch when I use the laptop so Gus will lay down beside me either is head on my hand or on the keyboard and if I am typing.. that just doesn’t work. Indy tries to sit on my lap infront of the laptop like a giant wrist bar.. silly girl. smile

Adorable!

Napoleon is constantly trying to get in my lap. When I’m watching tv or something on the couch its fine, but when I’m on the computer it’s just not comfortable to type with a pug in your lap.

Each of our pugs likes to lay facing a different direction when laying in hubby’s lap.  Biscuit will lay with his head in the bend of his left arm, so he is ok, but Rascal insists on laying the other way which, as Lex said, doesn’t work. lol

Hey! H. Doodle is having a summer clearance sale! lol

Sleighbelle likes to be on my lap, with her front paws on the desk, looking out the window.  Try typing around that!  And sneaking a pug sugar too!

OBP, I don’t know how your productivity goes up with Mz. Saucy on your desk….I’d be too busy loving on her to do any work.  You must be better disciplined than I am.

How appropriate that the Princess should have her throne in a place of honor!  Just make sure there is no pea under her mattress or she will not rest well!
