Henry

Uh, oh. It looks like Benjamin and Luna didn't teach Henry how to use the dog beds. This is not good considering Henry is now the sole owner of about 22 dog beds!

It’s as if he doesn’t want to get on the beds because of Baby Benny and Looney. Melissa, you are right…it is heartbreaking to see him like this.

And we OBP fans thought 22 dog beds for 3 pugs was a lot.  Now Henry has them all for himself.  It will be interesting to see how he eventually handles all of them.

I thought the same thing as Sue VDB

I think in his little pug head he thinks he is sleeping between Luna and Benny.

We all know that our pugs can sleep 20 hours a day.  So maybe Henry will up that to 22 hours a day, and sleep 1 hour in each bed?

Before humans die, they write their last will and testament, give their home and all they have to those that they leave behind.  If, with my paws, I could do the same, this is what I’d ask…
To a poor and lonely stray I’d give my happy home; my bowl and cozy bed, soft pillow and all my toys; the lap, which I loved so much; the hand that stroked my fur; and the sweet voice that spoke my name.
I’m sure that you’ve seen this but is so sweet:
DOG’S LAST WILL & TESTAMENT
I’d will to the sad, scared shelter dog the place I had in my human’s loving heart, of which there seemed no bounds.
So, when I die, please do not say, “I will never have a pet again, for the loss and pain is more than I can stand.”
Instead, go find an unloved dog, one whose life has held no joy or hope, and give my place to him.
This is the only thing I can give….
The love I left behind.

Oh Henry. Sometimes I think dogs can see things that we can’t.
Maybe Looney and Baby Benny are there sleeping
In their rightful places. You never know.

Sleeping between my brother and sister!!!! Sometimes dog bed sides are just as comfy
as the bed itself!!

Okay, Kelly, had to jump up to get a tissue after reading your post! Thank you for sharing that, I hadn’t seen it before.

I think Henry might feel it’s too soon to lay on their beds. He may somehow want to keep them just like they were when Benny and Luna last laid on them. Henry will probably make himself at home on all the beds before too long.

Somehow the poem got transposed a little when I submitted it.  Where I typed “I’m sure you’ve seen” should have been the first line of my message… but anyway, you get the idea.  I LOVE this poem.  It brought me comfort when I’ve lost my furry-kids…

I concur with Christie. It feels more like a “Pug Pile” when Henry is wedged in-between the two beds.

Kelly, beautiful post, and I totally agree.

Henry will gradually figure out all the dog bed opportunities available. Sending love to that sweet boy!

I absolutely love all the dog beds!

I wonder if he is missing his siblings snuggling up to him, so that is the next best thing?
