Is This Seat Taken?

Luna and Benjamin

What I love about Luna is that if one of the boys are laying where she would like to lay, she will just stare at them. She won't go find another place to sleep, she just hovers around willing them to get up. If she could tap a toe on her paw while she waits, I'm sure she would be doing that too.

Love this story…Miss Luna, you crack me up and the image of you tapping your toe is the smile that I needed.

I want to thank you all for your fabulous comments on yesterday’s “Pug of the Day” picture…It was so cool to have the guys featured and to see how many of you thought “those are H’s boys!”...made me feel truly a part of the community.

I’ve been absent the past couple of days as I had to rush Baxter to the ER in the wee hours of yesterday morning.  Long story short, he has vestibular disease and it presented in a very scary way in those wee hours where I had no idea what was happening and thought he was having seizures.  He wasn’t, but it was scary to see him behaving in the way he was.  I don’t want to go into too much detail as it makes me sick to my stomach.  They say his case is very treatable and that the prognosis with long term, vigilent care, is great, Praise God.  He’s still in the hospital trying to get strong enough and steady enough on his feet to come home so if you could send some prayers and good thoughts our way we could use them…

Never a dull moment I swear.  Don’t take those mundane, ‘just another day’, type of days for granted…as long as everyone is healthy, it is a blessed day and one that should be relished.

My question is, do Benjamin or Henry sesne her staring at them, and does it work?  Way too funny.

Oh Heather, sweetie, of course prayers are going up for Baxter and you.  You seem to have had your share of woes lately.  Tne news from the vet sounds very encouraging, and I’m praying that Baxter will be back with you before you know it.

You are absolutely correct when you say we take “just another day” for granted, when they are true blessing.

Stay strong Heather.

Luna you are such a hoot! And you stand your ground little lady-maybe you’ll get the spot back. Heather-Bax is in my daily prayers as is your family! Glad the prognosis is good and I will pray that Bax will be with you-us-for many years to come. I love how our babies teach us how to feel blessed by each day be it good,ok or not so good. Our babies always love us, and always there to comfort us. We refer to Daisey & Beauty as our “Nurse Pups”-they cure waht ails. Pug-hugs from the Colroado 3

What I find relly funny, is that in the OBP household, there is NO shortage of pug beds…I’m thinking probably about 6 per pug is the average. So Miss Thang could certainly find a dozen other cozy, comfy beds, but she NEEDS the one her silly, goofy brother is laying in. GET UP, GET UP, GET UP!!

Heather, goodness you have have some trials lately.  Prayers are out there for you and Baxter.  I’m glad the vet gave you encouraging news.

Abby does the same thing Luna does, only with her food.  Either she thinks it’s too much trouble to bend over and eat it or she is making sure it won’t move before she deigns to eat it.  Your comments are so funny, Corrine.

Heather - I think we all learned the “one day at a time,” with Solsey.  It was a wake-up lesson.  Your prayers and positive wishes are with you and Baxter (and Cole).  You must have been beside yourself when Baxter’s symptoms presented themselves.  You must have been terrified especially in the middle of the night, but the prognosis sounds encouraging.  We are all here for you, I think I can safely say.  Bless you.

Pug Hug,
Abby & Huckle

Heather, good thoughts are always here for you and your guys!  It does seem like you have had more than your share of trials lately, but stay strong and thanks for again reminding us that no day is average.  They should all be cherished and lived well!

As for Miss Luna, yes, as a matter of fact it is taken!  Why not do what Toeby does?  Just plop down on top of the poor, unsuspecting victim and steal the spot that way!  Toeby is forever just plopping onto or scootching over into C.J. when he’s trying to nap…Toeby wants what he wants WHEN he wants it!  He tends to be a little jealous…YA THINK?

I know what is going on….she left her dollie there and wants it back! We have learned the bed with a puggie napping is the one every puggie wants.

I am missing today’s post…is anyone else or do I have a bug in my system.  The day just hasn’t been the same without it.  Hope everything is okay.  It’s always worrisome when there’s a break in the order of things.

Huckle, no OBP post yet.  Know what you mean about being worried.

Corrine - OBP

04/22/2010

No worries.  Everything is OK here in the OBP house.  Crazy, hectic day so I was unable to get a post up for today.  I should have something for tomorrow.

Thank you Corrine.  This just proves how much we depend on OBP to be in our inboxes, and how much we truly care. Glad there are no worries, and hope all your busyness settles down.  I had a hunch there might not be too much to worry about because there were responses to other posts, but still wondered.  Take care and hope to see OBP tomorrow.

Thank you from me, too, Corrine!  I kept checking throughout the day and was concerned, too.  I think you have us spoiled with your faithfulness of your Monday through Friday postings.  when it wasn’t there, we worried!
