Jealous

Henry

Is it wrong to be jealous of your pug?

Every morning, when the alarm beckons me out of bed, I wrap each one of them up and get them all comfy somewhere else so I can make the bed.  I get ready and then they join me for breakfast where they get a couple bites of bananas and a few cheerios.  After that, I am rushing to the office (granted, I am super-spoiled because I work from home, but it is work nonetheless) and the pugs go back to bed.  I would love to get up, eat breakfast and then go back to sleep.  That would be grand!

I guess the hard part is that they rub it in.  They cuddle up in my office and snore their little hearts out.  Occasionally, one of them will pop up their head and give me a look letting me know that “it would be great if I could keep it down!”  Some days I want to be a pug!

Amen… I’ve always said that I want to come back as a “spoiled rotten pug”! Right now, my 3 are cuddled up on MY bed, snoring away while I’m earning money to spoil them! smile

Have a great weekend… Happy President’s Day!

I’ve wondered if Bennie’s schedule is typical:  eat, quick trip to the yard, and then snuggle into our bed for a looooong morning nap.  (Presumably to rest up from his intensity during those eating minutes.)And Bennie is truly unhappy if I make the bed.  He prefers easy access to all the blankets and pillows!  Yes, I’m jealous!!!

Indeed, life is grand for the pugs. They’re so spoiled! raspberry And Henry is adorable in that picture.

I agree…a pug’s life is something to aspire to!  On the weekend, Sleighbelle and Birdy “need” to eat as early as a work day, so after their 6:30 breakfast, all three of us head back to bed for some snuggle time.  It’s the closest I’ll ever get to being a pug!  And I do think that pugs must exert a large amount of energy when eating (all that dancing and yapping)so the nap is totally necessary!

If you asked a pug, they’d ask why are we jealous?  They’d say we don’t give them any special treatment, nothing nearly like what they deserve.  Mostly, they’d say we don’t feed them nearly enough lol.

But I agree pugs live a good life and it’s hard to not be jealous.
