Line in the Sand

Luna

While at the beach, this is pretty much where you can always find Luna. Just a few inches short of where the waves wash on shore.

Occasionally a wave will catch her or she will take a quick run into the water to cool off a bit, but for the most part she avoids the water. She reminds of a sanderling. Those little birds that always run along the shoreline poking at the water for little bits to eat. They go in and out with the waves at full speed and they always manage to avoid getting wet. That is pretty much how Luna plays at the beach.

Luna probably thinks she has to preserve your stunning good looks, and getting wet would not be the way to go.

oh Looney I love you so! You look so sweet standing there. A lady musn’t (is that a word and if so, is that how you spell it?) get wet.

Run and be wild Looney!!!!

Well, you know, a girl doesn’t want to ruin her manicure!

Look at that gorgeous beach babe!  Looney, you have impeccable timing to not get your fur all wet and messed up yet still have a blast in the sand.  Smarty pants!  Love this pic and I think, on this gray blah day, Luna on the beach will be my wallpaper to make me smile…thanks Corrine!

Surf’s up gang…I am loving your beach adventures this week!

I am loving the beach pictures also. Luna is so adorable, maybe she is thinking she doesnt want to get her swim suit wet. Thanks again for all the prayers and good thoughts. It is almost misty here this am but not just north of us where the fires are still raging.
Hopefully that area will get rain by tomorrow. Thanks again, you are all the most caring people.

Brenda, you were on my mind this morning as I watched the news…still praying for your safety and for rain!!  Hug those fur babies for comfort!

Luna is so small she’s probably afraid of getting carried out to sea!!  I’m with you Luna…I stay out of the ocean, too many “critters”!

Brenda, I was watching the news last nite…OMG, I couldn’t believe those fires, it’s crazy!  Stay safe!

Brenda - watching the fires in Texas and hope beyond hope that they stay away from you.  Where would you go if you had to evacuate?  I can’t imagine the worry and terror and hope all rolled into one.  As Karen said, “stay safe”.

Gina, I am still laughing over your comment yesterday.  What a fun vision.

Little Looney Luna - Great big smooches from the “Swamp Pugs”.  We are all intrigued with you.

I’ve always loved watching those Sanderlings, and I’d love watching sweet Looney doing her imitation of one!
