Little Help

Henry waiting at the door to go outside

You would never know that we have a doggie door.  Santa brought one and while Ben, Henry & Cupid have all learned to use the door they all have their quirks.  Henry’s quirk is that he will not walk through the door with anything in his mouth.  His favorite thing to do is to take a bone out by the pool and chew it while sunning himself.  So needless to say, whenever he has a bone to take outside he comes and sits by the door and patiently waits for me to open it for him.

I’m not exactly sure what he thinks.  I think he thinks he is too wide to go through the doggie door when he has something in his mouth.  Before we got the doggie door he was like that with the regular doors.  If he has something his mouth you have to open the door real wide for him to come in.  You would think we gave him bones that were 5 feet long!

Luna on the other hand won’t use the doggie door without some assistance.  She is scared to push the flap open.  Which makes no sense at all.  She will run full steam into the sliding glass door, but she it too timid to walk through a space that she knows is for sure open.  Go figure.  We are working with her on it though.

I would give anything to be sunning myself by a pool right now…What a life your three have!!  Have a great weekend in the sun!

We’re planning on getting a screen doggie door for Angel so she can access the balcony, but I bet she’ll be just like Luna. Let us know how you get her over the fear of the scary door.

This sounds like the true definition of being “owned by a pug.”  Too cute!!

I don’t have a doggie door, but I dog sat for a friend that does.  Sleighbelle was totally freaked by the door…one minute the other dogs were in the house, then they were outside…where’d they go?  How’d they get there?  I eased her through the door and she was not happy…I could see the thoughts in her head.. “I was in the kitchen, now I’m on the patio. How the heck did that happen?” I think my princesses are too spoiled to use a doggie door.  They think their mommy is their doggie door!!

this has nothing to do with your daily post (which as a pug maniac I love to check in on every day) but I found this video and it is one of the cutest things ever.  My girls and I sat here and watched it over and over (a little over 6 minutes) and I almost cried, but we all laughed.  Check it out, it expresses how we all feel about our pug kids!

LOL!!! You are the doorman (doorwoman)!
hey in NY they get paid to do that and your rent is more expensive if your building has one! You better have a talk with them!
My screen door to my balcony has a magnet closure - the pugs LOVE giving it a good smack and pushing their way out!
Just called home and my two are out on the balcony right now sunning themselves…ah the life of a pug…
