Nipped

Cupid

While we were out and about this weekend we picked out a little surprise for Cupid - a catnip plant. Cupid goes crazy over dried catnip, so we were curious how she would react to the plant. So far, she has managed to keep her cool. She is very interested in the plant. She smells the leaves and rubs all over the pot, but she hasn't tried to eat the plant or anything like that yet. Which is good, because I was a little worried she might go crazy and yank the plant right out of the pot.

Love the second picture of Cupid.  Perhaps she is trying to figure this out.  It smells like the catnip she is used to, but doesn’t even resemble it.  Maybe one of these days you may find the plant disassembled.

I don’t have a cat, but of course have heard of catnip. What is the allure to cats?  Is it like a drug to them?  does it make them mellow or wired?

Cupid, such a pretty girl! I love your paw in the last pic and your sweet little head. I’m afraid I would hug you and pet you and call you George. And then you wouldn’t like me anymore. :(  smile (No I haven’t started drinking yet) smile

Sleighbelle~I had a cat growing up and he would roll in cat nap and lick toys that had it in it and just kind of freak out.

Hope everyone is enjoying this nice Spring weather. Hah! It is supposed to start snowing tonight and continue through Sunday! What the heck?!

Pug Hugs to everyone from Bella & me.

My cats go crazy over fresh catnip. They roll in it, flip it and chew it. Then they take a nap.

In second pic, Cupid seems almost to be praying to the god of catnip.  Monday, at the local PetCo, I found these little disk stickers of catnip.  I bought some, stuck it on a table leg and drove Huckleberry and the new rescue kitten nuts.  It was quite a sight.

Now Gina, what’s this spring weather business?  Spoken like someone from Nebraska rubbing it in.  You’ll get yours.

In the second picture, QP is catnip-gazing (instead of navel gazing!). Such a pretty kitty!  I have never bought a catnip plant for my kitties; they are hopped up enough as it is- can just imagine if I got them high!!
