On your feet you lose your seat

But I want to lay there

Benjamin, being the creature of habit that he is, loves to sleep in a little bin that I have in my office.  To make things more comfy for him, I have put a dog pillow in there and even though it is a tight fit it is one of his favorite spots to sleep during the day.

The other day Henry beat Benny to the punch and claimed the bed for his own.  When Benny came in to claim his usual spot he was quite perterbed that Henry was already in it.  He sat at the foot of the bin and whined telling Henry that he would like him to move.  Henry didn’t budge and I told Benny sorry, but Henry was there first.  This did not sit well with Benny and the next thing I know, Benny makes a jump for it and plops himself down right on top of Henry.

Benny was hoping that Henry would become uncomfortable and leave his basket, but no such luck.  Henry stayed and Benny was forced to make himself comfortable around Henry.  No matter how hard he tried, Benny just couldn’t get comfortable.  But, never once did the thought cross his mind to go lay on one of the other two dog beds in my office.  Nope, this is Benny’s sleeping spot and where he sleeps everyday, so he would rather be uncomfortable than have to change his routine.

That is hilarious!  Don’t you just love when you can tell exactly what they are thinking…  pugs really are people, ya know!

I think Henry’s expression seems to say, “Dude, forget it…now I’m King of the Bin and I’m here to stay.”

I totaly agree with Martha…ahahahahaha…such a great one!  And yes, Pugs are People, most definitely!

I find that hilariously funny for some reason.  Ruby likes to sleep on the arm of the couch.  If something is in her way she will stare and stare and sigh at it until one of us moves it for her.  They are such funny little things.

Toeby has taken to literally “plopping” down on C.J. if he happens to be taking up too much of my lap space!  C.J. is unbothered though and I end up with a pile of precious pugs!  They are toooo funny!

My Big Boy likes to lay under the covers.  On our couch is always this big fury blanket that we use whenever we’re lounging.  I sit on my side with my legs flung up and he likes to crawl in to the crook of my leg and get cozy.  He usually prefers to be under the blanket and tells me when he wants this.  However, if I don’t move the blanket to the side in precisely the right way he will jump back like I’ve shot him with an arrow and make me go through the process again…and again…and again.  There are times we will do this 10 times before he finally ducks under and gets settled.  Thankfully, usually momma has her end of day glass of wine sitting there so she can cope.  grin

The more I know about pugs, the more I ,marvel at how entertaining they are, and how much I love them!

Heather, that’s really funny!  My boys also like to snuggle under the covers in the crook of my legs.  Is that a pug thing?  The other thing C.J. does is straddle the arm of the couch with his head hanging way down and almost upside down!  He snores less like this but it looks really uncomfy!

Karen,

That would make a great picture!  I love when I walk by and Bax is straddling the couch arm and there’s a pug leg hanging down.

I’ve spoken to many Pug owners that say theirs like to be under cover!

There are times I am awoken from a deep sleep by a scratching Baxter to get under the duvet…

Well, being under covers must be a Pug thing.  When Sleighbelle is ready to get under the covers, she paws as my shoulder, I lift up the covers and under she goes!

She also loves to get between my legs and snuggle.  When she wants to do that she paws my leg and I move so she can lay down.

Who is the trained one in the picture?

LOL! I Love all the stories!
Benee never had to share anything until I got frankie last year. The bed dance as we call it is very entertaining! If frankie grabs the nuzzle nest that he wanted he will stare at him for long periods of time - if that doesn’t work he will bark and run to the door (there is no one there) to get him to get up - sometimes it works -sometimes it doesn’t and I can see Frankie saying - haha - thought I’d fall for that one didn’t ya?!
They are so precious!!!!

It is proven…we are all owned by our pugs…and I know we would have it no other way!!!

Not at all surprised.  Although we have four different puggy beds in our living room, Rocky and Adrian always want to flop in the same one - it’s always about what the other one has.  “If it’s on the floor, IT’S MINE!!! They can have multiple bones or chewys lying on the floor and nine times out of ten, they’ll vie for the very same one.  Whomever gets it - well, the other just sits and sits and stares until “pug with bone” relinquishes said bone to get a drink of water.  Then “pug without bone” becomes “pug with bone” and the game goes on and on and on…

Patty, that is too funny.
Lucy also loves to sleep in the crook of my legs.  Such a funny girl.

When she sleeps, she likes to be on the righthand side of the couch on the RIGHT SIDE.
Picture this:  You are on the laptop and a young and very pretty princess Pug comes to lay with you.  She makes several “lean-back” notions that she is going to jump up just in case we don’t want her.  After a few of those she jumps up.  Then she will try to shove her big fat butt in between you and the right arm of the sofa.  If there is something in the way, she will sit on top of it, making the human of choice very uncomfy.  You have to scoot to the left a little until she has her furry backside shoved right in that crack.  Talk about a princess!  And if you didn’t move the object, prepare for it to smell like Pug hiney :D.
