One Man Wrecking Crew

Benjamin

On Friday night I gave the pugs a bath.  Everything was business as usual.  The pugs each took turns and they ran around the house after they were all cleaned up.  As I was finishing up in the bathroom, the pugs came barreling in and were wrestling around. That is when I noticed one of them was bleeding all over the tile.  We quickly determined that it was Benjamin.  In all his running around, he must have cracked his toenail because that was were all the blood was coming from.  However, it must not have hurt because it didn’t slow him down one bit.  We got the bleeding stopped in no time and then I braced myself to see the damage.  I was quite surprised at how much ground Benny had covered since his bath.  He had blood from one end of the house to the other.  Luckily, most of it was on the tile which made for easy cleanup.  However, he did manage to get quite a bit of blood on our comforter.  You know the one.

The Comforter

So I figured that now would be a good time to give the blood setting on the washing machine a try again.  It has gotten blood out of clothes in the past so I was keeping my fingers crossed hoping it would work its magic again.

The blood setting takes forever, so I threw the comforter in the wash and went on to other things.  When the washer was finally done we pulled it out and looked it over to see if the blood stains came out.  The good news is the blood came out!  The bad news is that in some spots it turned the red circles into orange circles!  It must have mistaken them for blood wink

So now our comforter is a nice gradient.  I couldn’t keep from laughing.  If someone remarks that the circles are orange, I am just going to correct them and tell them they aren’t orange, their Benjamin’s version of red.

They think of everything nowadays, don’t they…a blood setting, wow.  I’m so glad the blood wasn’t from anything serious!  Here’s to a great week with clean puggies!

Apparently the pea placed under all those dog beds didn’t bother Benny at all…so not a princess!

Wow, at least it wasn’t the carpet and furniture.  Kinda hard to throw those in the washer. lol

Glad to hear it wasn’t any worse, for you or Benny.

Have a great week everyone!

Oh Benny, I am so glad you had nothing really serious go wrong, but baby, I can just picture you acting like a madman.  Sometimes that’s not good, even if it is funny.  Seems you have invented your own color now and Mom will never forget.  Mom I’m glad most of the trail was on the tile and not the carpet or furniture.

awww poor Benny.  Glad to hear everything was ok and not serious.  At first glance, to see blood, I would probably have freaked out!! Until we found out where it was coming from.  Good thing for tile floors!
July 1 holiday in Canada, tomorrow. Happy Canada Day everyone! This year your July 4 holiday falls on Friday, making it a long weekend - how nice!!

Poor Benjamin. I think it would have hurt. I am glad he is okay.

Grease Lightening also works on blood..but put it on then soak it because it can eat the fabric. But it won’t if you soak it, it just dilutes it a little. wink
And what is is about getting a bath that makes the pugs go crazy!

Pugs run around after a bath because they are trying to get away from that clean smell following them ROFL.

Poor puggy toesies.  From the look of the first pic, it seems you are babying him appropirately for the occasion, although he may need a pillow fluffing every once in a while LOL.
