Stair Masters

When we lived in Maryland, we lived in a 3 story house. So, the boys got plenty of practice going up and down steps. When we moved to Florida, our new house is on one level and there is no steps to be found. The boys rarely come across steps anymore in their daily travels.

To keep them fresh, whenever we walk past this one building that has a flight of steps running up the side, I always take them up and down just for fun. The boys do great, but at first Luna didn't know what to do. I don't think she had much step experience as a puppy. But, she has finally learned how to go up and down the steps. Going up was never much of a problem. It has always been the going down part. Luna isn't the quickest, but she gets the job done.

That’s a girl, Luna.  You be careful so you don’t hurt yourself, you little princess.

Love everything about this post…the title, the lil’ wiggly butts, the puggie smiles, and Miss Looney’s determination.  I’ll be watching a few times today…smile is definitely needed!  Thanks, Corrine, for brightening each and every day.

Benny is certainly truckin’.  And Luna, Bless her little heart!  What I can’t figure out is how you walk (run?) behind them, take the video and it isn’t blurry or you are out of breath!

Heather, hope this is what you need to brighten your day.

Baxton was never one for stairs. When I got him as a puppy, I still lived at home and it was 2 levels. If I would go upstairs, he would sit at the bottom and not even try to come up. He would sit there and wait for me to come down, no matter how long Im upstairs. I would have to carry him up stairs. He still refuses to do stairs at many failed attempts to get him to. Its so silly!

Benny and Henry still remember their former stairs and do a great job up and down.  Miss Luna does not do a bad job at all, just a little slower.

Heather, hope you day gets brighter as it goes along.

Luna, my little Rosie can sympathize with you! Rosie cannot go down stairs at all, only up. We always assumed it was because she is blind. My husband and I try to remember to keep the gate closed in front of the stairs, but every once and a while we must forget. We’ll just turn and look at each other and go “Where’s Rosie?” Sure enough, she is waiting at the top of the stairs for someone to get her and bring her down! So cute!!!

What a good idea!  We occasionally have stairs, and I’m always careful that Bennie doesn’t go too fast and pull me down on top of him!  When he gets up a head of steam, it’s always better for me if my husband has the leash : )

Sue VDB & Huckle, I wish I could give you both a big hug.  Thank you so much for your wishes for a better day.  Your caring, and taking the time to say so, really means so much to me.

This OBP Community is too special for words.  Love you all!!!

I can’t see the video on my iPhone :( Oh well, I’ll have to wait until I get home to see the cuties do the stairs! When I got my pug Bentley she was living in an apartment and was soo scared of the stairs in our 3 story townhome. She just stood at the bottom and cried. Luckily she got over that in about a day, and now when she’s excited to go out she runs down the stairs doing circles! One of these days she’s going to fall down the stairs like her clumsy daddy haha smile
