Stuck in the Middle

Henry, Luna and Benjamin

Luna is far smaller than the boys, but it rarely shows in pictures. However, the other day, I caught her sandwiched between the boys and her small stature really comes through.

But, just because she is little, don't think that the boys push her around. Here is a shot of her pushing her way through the pack, telling the boys to step aside, Looney is coming through.

LOVE these pics of the sibling love…It really warms my heart to see the Miss in Solsey’s harness…and I just want to kiss that lil’ face in the 2nd pic…Show those bros who’s boss Looney!!

Andi, I think lots of ice cream is in order for Miss Peanut…I am keeping her in my prayers that her ‘female things’ are nothing serious.

Sue VDB, I think St. Francis has become very familiar with our OBP Family…and how lucky we are that he hears our prayers…

Love to all on this rainy day (which has sent Mr. Cole on a pee pee in the yard strike…Golden Paws should be his name!)...

It’s pictures like these that make me sad that Bella’s an “only child”.  However, my vet says that with her allergies, at this point, she’d probably have more problems with a brother or sister.

Luna - you just don’t take a “back seat” to ANYONE!  Good girl!!

HEATHER:  I add my prayers for Miss Peanut.  It is just so awful to worry about our sweet pets, I know.  And then - someone sent me a YouTube on a woman in Britain who put someone’s cat in a garbage can - for no apparent reason.  She’s been identified and is now under police protection.  The owners found their cat and it was OK - but, I’ll bet, not inclined to be friendly to other strangers from now on.  I’d like to “sic” the guys from RESCUE, INK on her!!

Anyway - blessings on all OBP readers and their fur-babies and special prayers for Miss P.

Great pictures smile  The second picture had me laughing, Luna busting through her big brothers.  She is so petite; how much does she weigh Corrine?

Thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers for our foster puggie, Miss Peanut.  She had a rough night, but is doing better this morning.  She ate a small breakfast of canned food and took her meds.  She is still very tired and worn out.  Hopefully we’ll know more about the “female things” in a couple of days. Thanks again smile

ANDI:  You have a wonderful pug family - so much fun to watch your videos.  How many pugs have you fostered?  Miss P looks so very sweet.  I truly hope she gets home soon and wonderful, healthy form.

Pugs are just such a positive Life Force aren’t they?!  Canine clowns of the First Order!  lOVE THEM ALL!

Luna’s little on the outside.  But on the inside she’s very big!  She’s demonstrated that over and over!!!

I love the expression on her sweet face as she’s “muscling” her way through her brothers.

Mary, there is a special hell for people (I use that term lightly) that harm animals…Sickens me.  I’m so glad that kitty is OK.

Andi, can’t wait to get home and watch your videos!  Hope Miss Peanut has a pain free day.

Miss Looney, I am really thinking you need your own blog.  “Nuf sharing with your brothers, cuz it is sure apparent who is the star of the OBP blog!  I love your spirit, little one:-)

That second picture just made my day!  Luna is absolutely beautiful!  I am also curious how much she weighs because she and my Zoe look to be the same size.  Love those petite little girls!  I bet those boys protect her too, even if they don’t want anyone to know it!  hehe

Luna weighs in at about 14-15lbs.  When we first adopted her she was around 12lbs, but that was way too skinny in my opinion.  14lbs looks good on her.  But she is all muscle.  Benny and Henry have a lot of loose skin on them that Luna doesn’t have.  She is solid and has very muscular hind legs.  Once she got on a good diet and started taking regular walks she really beefed up. grin

Looney, I wish I could find the words to describe your sweetness, but precious and adorable will have to do.

Your “new” harness made be go back to reminisce on baby Solsey.

Andi, sending up prayers for you and Miss Peanut.

Well, Miss Luna certainly doesn’t want to be left out of any pictures does she? It IS surprising how small she is, she sure doesn’t act like it!

Peanut, you are such a DOLL!!!!  I am so sorry the cruel deal you just got out of though, and excited to hear about the steps towards recovery that you are making.  You have a wonderful foster mom too!!  I just went to the sepra website and read about everything you have been through, and it sure is showing what a trooper you are.  Pug hugs Miss Peanut:-)

Thanks everyone for your prayers and good thoughts for Miss Peanut.  She really is a sweet and wonderful little pugger.  She has been sleeping most of the day, our vet said to expect that today.  She’ll get her dinner of canned food again pretty soon and meds.

Mary, to answer your question, Miss Peanut is our 32nd foster pug.  We’ve been fostering for 7 1/2 years with Southeast Pug Rescue & Adoption.  I really love fostering and it’s so rewarding.  I think it’s given me a few premature grey hairs wink, but it’s been so worth it.

ANDI:  That’s an amazing number of fostered babies.  Do you ever have a hard time giving them up to a permanent home?  What about your own dogs?  Do they have a problem with pugs coming in and going out?  I think you are to be really commended.  It’s so brave and unselfish of you.  We don’t have many pugs show up in the shelters in my area, but I’ve wondered about putting my name out there.  Just have such a time with Bella’s allergies (my black pug) - and I’m at work during the day - so how to get a foster-pug acclimated to staying alone (w/Bella) during the day - if that’s a problem, etc.  But maybe I’ll do some more checking into it.  Who has to bear the medical cost for fostered animals?  So many questions.  My email is:  mcastagnoli@usg.com rather than tying up the OBP “hotline”.

Andi, it took me some time to get logged in, but I was finally able to read Miss Peanuts’ story…poor baby, such neglect, but judging by her video, she looks happy now.  Hope you get good news on this sweetheart.

Om my….one really pushie sweet gal. The guys do not look upset so guess it is alright with them.

She must be all muscle….she looks smaller!

God bless all pug rescues. My GiGi came from Pug Hearts of Houston almost two years ago. She had been “fixed”, Microchipped, up todate on all shots. Really in great condition. They drove for 24 hours round trip and stayed a few hours for she and I cold become use to each other.

She has lost so much weight her skin hangs in BIG FOLDS.

Bless those who save pugs and find them good and loving homes.

I am going to have to wait for the grandson to find the sights so I can see Miss Peanut,
