Stuck in the Middle

Luna and Henry

Little Looney, stuck in between her bros. Sometimes, Benny & Henry don't leave Luna much room, but I think she would rather squeeze herself in rather than find somewhere else to sleep.

i think that it’s in a pug’s nature to find the smallest bed and try to squeeze into it. hilarious!

I know Luna loves her bubba’s, but I think she’s thinking: “Would it kill either of you to suck it in?”

Little Looney looks perfectly contect to me on this little bed between her two bros, and this accentuates how tiny she is.

That is so adorable. I love it!!! I agree with Kimmy-it is in their nature to squeeze into the smallest bed! Pip does this all the time.

Huckle~ How is Cooper the pooper? Is he still doing good? Well for some reason, every now and then, Pip poops in the house!!!! Yikes. It started out that he would come inside after pooping and it’s like he didn’t finish outside and he would ‘finish’ in the house! But just this morning, he pooped in the hallway!! And we were all in the kitchen where the back door is! So he could’ve just gone to the door and someone would’ve let him out!

I’m worried a little bit. Is something wrong with him? Is he getting old? He just turned 7 on March 2nd. I don’t know. I’m sure it’s nothing.

Pug Hugs to all from Gina & Pip (the sometimes pooper) wink

Just look at Luna’s sweet face, and you see true contentment!  She loves being “stuck in the middle”.

what a shame that they have to be so squished… if only you had more than one dog bed for them to sleep on.  hahaha

What a picture.  Luna you are such a love and I can almost hear you purring!

Julie - funny!

Gina - I wouldn’t say 7 is old for a Pug, but maybe it ought to check it out if you see other odd behaviors for Pip.  Is he constipated and can’t quite get it all out?  I guess I’d try pumpkin (the great equalizer) and see how that does.  You might go online, too, and check his symptoms.  Give Pip a little smooooch from us.

As for Cooper, he has days and nights when he just lets fly but a majority of the time, he goes outside.  It’s frustrating with him because he still gives no sign of his need, but if I let him out every couple of hours, that’s how I’ve been trained.  His destructiveness has eased (I didn’t say stopped) and I have been giving him a Mickey Finn (Good-Dog! water additive) and I think that helped.  He wouldn’t take the Rescue Remedy although it is similar re flower essences too.  Thank you for asking.

Gina, Sleighbelle is 13 and she sometimes goes in the house too.  It’s like she doesn’t get the “signal” that it’s time to poop.  I don’t get upset; I keep a pad down in one spot and she goes there.  I know that at 13 things are going to go haywire on occassion.  I’m just grateful that I still have her.

Thank you Huckle and Sleighbelle ~ He seems to go every day and seems to go often. It started where he would go outside, do his business and then come up the porch stairs and then have to run back down super fast and finish. Then he started finishing in the yard, coming up the stairs and then pooping on the porch. Then he started coming up the stairs and pooping right as he came in the door. It’s not funny but it is. smile

And mind you, he only does this once in awhile. Like maybe once a week. Thats all.

Cooper sounds like he is doing a bit better. But they do have us ‘trained’ don’t they. Pip goes through the blinds on the back door (they are vertical) when he has to go so we know to let him out.

Sleighbelle sounds sweet. I don’t get mad at Pip either. It’s not like he is trying to be naughty or anything. I think he just doesn’t realize he still has to go. Or at least I’m hoping. smile

Thank you for the advice ladies!

Pug Hugs to everyone from Gina & Pip

That’s funny Gina.  Abby does the very same thing if she hasn’t gotten my attention and has to go urgently.  Only once a week for Pip?  Sounds like a contract deal to me and you didn’t read the fine print! wink

Pug hugs to you Sleighbelle.

Gina

Ha-Ha Huckle! I think you’re right!! I missed the fine print!

When he goes through the blinds, we call it “going through the car wash” b/c its like those big long things in the car wash that go over your car. Funny stuff. Every now and then in our house someone will yell, “PIP IS GOING THROUGH THE CAR WASH!” The thinks we do (and say) for our pugs!

Gina - and don’t you hope no one can see you or hear you at those times?  But then, all pug people are a little bit nuts, certifiably ding-dong and having the best time of their life.

You ladies are all so funny, and I have enjoyed reading every one of your posts.

Gina

I know Huckle! Sometimes I talk to Pip like he is a human. And he just looks at me with his crooked teeth sticking out and he acts as if he is listening. Then I realize what I’m doing and hope the neighbors didn’t just witness it!!!

Sue VDB ~ chime in! I know you have more funny stories too! smile

Marcia

Gina,

Don’t we all talk to our pugs as if they were human?  They undertand every word we say !!

Gina

04/02/2011

You’re right Marcia!!! They totally understand us.! hee hee! I love talking to Pip. He is definitely my buddy.
