Thinking Outside the Box

Henry

Henry is always one to blaze his own trail.

Sol Sunshine Memorial Fund Update

I am so happy to report that in just 3 days, as of this writing, $1,010.00 has been contributed to the Sol Sunshine Memorial Fund via Pledgie. I don't know the exact amount, but I know other donations have been made outside of Pledgie as well.

I am truly at a loss for words. All I can say is that all of you out there in OBP land are the most caring and generous people that I have ever met. Or should I say that I have never met? Either way it doesn't matter. Whether I have met you or not, there are no better pug supporters out there than all of you!

The Sol Sunshine Memorial Fund will remain open for donations and it is my goal to ensure that the fund makes as much of an impact on the lives of senior pugs as Solsey made on our lives. I have big paws to fill because Sol made an everlasting impression on us. That means, like Henry, I will have to do some out of the box thinking of my own.

Click here to lend your support to: SOL and make a donation at <a href="http://www.pledgie.com">http://www.pledgie.com</a> !

That is truly amazing. And it is a very fitting tribute to Sol. We all loved her as well as Henry, Benny and Luna. When we got our pugs it was quite by accident. They were given to us after living in not very happy homes. We treat Luke and Genevieve like they are our babies (which they are). I never ever thought of having a pug but now I can’t imagine not having one. They are the best company ever !

What a beautiful tribute to our Sweet Solsey girl.  Corrine, please DO leave the fund open.  I don’t get paid until Friday, but fully intend on contributing in honor of our special gal!  (Paycheck to paycheck in this pug household, sadly)...

Henry, I admire your trail blazing ways…some of the best things happen when thinking outside of the box!!

Love to all of you!

And don’t forget to put a tag on your Facebook page.  When I made my donation to the Sunshine fund, I noticed the tag to put a link on my Facebook page, so I did.  Within minutes, a friend of mine who had never “met” Sol, saw that sweet picture of Solsey, followed the link and made a donation!  I was flabbergasted!  That just shows the power that those sweet pug eyes convey.

I’m trying to talk my 14-year old son into letting me put a tag on his Facebook page as well.  He has over 300 friends on his page and I just know some of them would donate.  I just have to convince him that it IS a cool idea to solicit funds for a memorial.  smile

Corrine, I’ve been keeping up with the Sol “Sunshine” Memorial, and noticed the amount Sunday.  Solsey baby is still in our hearts and still affecting how we react.  Way to go baby girl.  You are truly a little wonder girl.

Henry, you keep thinking outside that box sweetheart.  Good things will come.

While everyone knows in their head that it’s a good idea to donate for senior puggies, our beloved Solsey helped everyone to feel it in their hearts, too!

Our Sol will always be “Ours” thanks to your sharing with us.
PS: we help Pug Hearts of Houston also. THey are in your list of rescues at the top of the page. Our sweet senior, GiGi, came from them.
