Whoops!

Luna and Henry

So, I was out shopping last weekend, when I saw a display labeled as "Massive Pet Beds". Of course I couldn't resist brining one home for the pugs. Its weird, people always look at you funny when you are wheeling around a dog bed that is bigger than your shopping cart. I had a few people ask what kind of dog I had. I got a lot of laughs when I said pug.

Corrine, you just crack me up!!!  Surely they were expecting you to say Great Dane (oh how I love those gentle giants).  I’m beginning to think the OBP gang has cozier beds than me; just look at that puffy delight.

Happy weekend to everyone and their puggers.  Baxter, Mr. Cole, and I send you lots of love and pug hugs!

My Toby needs one of those!!!  grin
Love your pugs.

This is too funny!  It could be known as the “sleepover party bed” for pugs!  Benny looks very comfy, and there is plenty of room for more puggies!

Happy weekend all, Mr. Skittles & family!!

Benny’s expression says to me “Do I have to share Mom?!

So Corrine, what is the official dog bed count?  I’ve heard of a lot of different collections, but never dog beds.  You are unique…and that’s a good thing.

Benny looks happy.  I can see the new bed is next to another bed.  What is this, a lineup?  I think it would be funny to capture the pugs and Cupid all lined up on the beds.

I’m with Heather, they have more comfort than I do.

Romeo and I (plus Minnie, Missy and Frankie, the obnoxious cat) wish everyone a comfortable weekend.

Not unlike my Abby needing the whole queen size bed all to herself!

I think this bed would only be better with a few pillows on top! Sadie and family wish you all a wonderful weekend. <3

I think spoiled is now spelled H-e-n-r-y or L-u-n-a or maybe even b-e-n-n-y!!!!  How lucky they are!  Should have told people it was for THREE pugs!  And all of us owners know that one pug can take up an entire queen size bed, so imagine what 3 are like!!!!!

I am with you Corrine it is hard to pass up a sale on a dog bed whats funny at my house when I buy big ones the pugs take them over and the smaller ones the boxers seem to like
Hope everyone has a great weekend

That is so funny! I can just imagine the other shopper’s faces when you said “pug”. A pug needs to be comfy right?!

Enjoy the first official weekend of fall everyone (for those that it applies too!) Pumpkin patches are opening up around here and our Halloween decorations are going up tomorrow! Not b/c of my kids but b/c I want them up! smile

Still praying for Peanuts safe return!

Pug Hugs to all from Gina & Pip.

I would love to buy my 3 a BIG bed!!! BUT….Beau would pee all over it and i would never have it clean….as it is i have 6 small beds and i rotate them in and out of the washer on a weekely basis…or more if needed!!!!

I love my pugs Biscuit and Rascal, but I think they are treating me unfairly:  they insist on sharing OUR bed, but don’t even consider sharing their bed with me, even if it was as big as that one. lol

Sue VDB, you beat me to it.  I was gonna ask how many beds there are in the house.  Oh, and don’t I remember a year or so ago, SOMEONE was telling us she really needed to get a handle on the “dog bed fetish.”  Love ya, Corrine grin

Have a great weekend everyone.

OK, I just went through the posts that are filed under “dog beds” and counted them up.  I could be off by a bed or 2 more or less, but the count I came up with is 20, if you count the raised bed on the patio.  And of course, that count doesn’t include any of Cupid’s beds. lol If we didn’t enjoy the thought of dog beds all over you house, with puggies that do so enjoy all of them, I would say that we need to plan and INTERVENTION for Corrine. lol

Ummm…this bed is bigger than my hospital bed and it is REALLY long and wide!!!!

Still no little Peanut. Everytime I hear a bark like his I open the front door and call hime Have even had one of the kids go look out side.

Mercy moves to Salem with his mom, Kari, this weekend. That leaves only Gwen. She changes beds off and on all night.

Have a great weekend all. Julia’s birthday is Monday but we are celebrating on Sunday because Julia has to work on Monday.

All please have a really wonderful puggie weekend.

Oh how funny Corrine (and shame on you).  Do you recycle old beds to the needy pugs?  I mean, after all, 20+ (good going Carla).  Either you end up tripping over some of them or you have a VERY large house.  So funny.

Happy weekend to those of you who aren’t retired and think every day is a weekend and don’t even know what day it is.  Love this fall weather and the puggers are happy with it.

Lola Pug’s nighttime bed is queen sized, and it’s still not big enough for her. She lies in the middle of it, so we can’t get in. Duvet-hog! Mattress-hog! Heh. Love your gang.

Huckle, she neatly stacks them. grin  It was a beautiful picture of organization, colors matching and everything. “sniff, sniff, tear, tear” lol.  Oh, and apparently, some of the pugs don’t let the stacks prevent them from laying on the bed that’s on the top. lol

Been gone awhile again. I thought Corrine might just have wall to wall pillows instead of carpeting! Staying with our daughter and her 3 pugs plus our 2 & 1 boston, they sleep where ever and us humans make the best of it! Beauty has been extremely grouchy toward Daisey-even getting into a fight-any suggestions? Have a great week-end! Pug hugs from the Colorado 4 (Mr.Proto Puggers now resides with our daughter)

Sue, I wondered why the Colorado 5 went down to 4 but was afraid of the answer, especially in light of Beauty’s catastrophe.

Is this something new with Beauty, I mean has she gotten grouchy after she gave birth.  It could have something to do with that, some way she feels Daisey is a threat?  Is Daisey spayed?  Could her reaction be affected by an intact female?  I’m just guessing here and I don’t know what to suggest, but I assume the treatment will depend on why Beauty is acting out if you can figure that out.  Maybe even your staying with your daughter has caused turmoil in Beauty’s mind.  Perhaps just patience, boundaries and lots of love will help her get over this.  Best of luck, always.

Pug Daddy

09/25/2011

I think my pug’s favorite chew-toy is his bed lol! My gf was online today shopping for a new one when I told her that our dog, Bunk, would never actually use it as a bed, so we just went to pet smart and replaced the bed he previously torn to shreds with one that will most likely suffer the same fate.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Huckle

09/25/2011

Pug Daddy, well, yes actually.  Now that the Boxer is full grown (I hope), he is not tearing them up like he used to (except for that one patio cushion this summer.  We had about 9 months of his destructiveness with every pet bed we put in the computer room (we can’t see him while on the computer and he was a silent tearer (terror as well) behind the office chair. And Roberta, we went for months and months of having the beds get peed on by Georgie, so like you, I was always washing them.  But, since I applied those sanitary napkins to the corners of everything, Georgie has quite peeing and marking (cross my fingers).  Somehow, I’m linking those behavior all together because they all occurred about the same time.  Cooper’s still out to lunch but I’m working on him.  I wonder, Pug Daddy, if there is any other behavior of his that might correlate to the tearing as well?  Just a thought.

Thanks Huck, Am working on loving on Beauty she may still be hormonal and I am hoping that getting her spayed will also help. Daisey is spayed and so is Solsie. The reason it’s Colorado 4 it is Daisey, Beauty,Solsie 9pug mama and daughter) and me. Our daughter has Mr.proto Puggers, Bubba Gizmo and Buster brown-beauty’s sons. I am hoping Beauty can return to her sweet self before we head back to Colorado otherwise may have to leave her with our daughter which I hope not to have to do. Thank you and hope you all in OBP land have a blessed day! Pugh hugs from the Colorado 4

Grannie Pug, since your population is going down have you thought of getting a senior rescue pug?  Can’t have you and Gwen lonely.

Perhaps some more time will help Beauty.  It seems it would be quite unsettling to Beauty to adjust to another change if you didn’t take her back to Colorado with you.  I’m not judging, I’m just wondering what you thought about it.
