What a great story - and what a lucky pug!!! Where was the parade held?
What a marvellous story. Cletus you are a true American hero.
(The pug parade was held..in my imagination-ha ha) But if I could have a pug parade it would be held in Lowell, Massachusetts!
Too much cheering for TEAM USA!!
Great story Robin what a tired looking puggy
Cletus! Either you had a rough night partying or you’re posing for PlayPug Magazine. This is a very cute picture indeed! xxxooo
Robin, another outstanding story.
Cletus, you had quite an adventure and evidently fell into your bed so exhausted you didn’t make it all the way in. Hope you have since made a full recovery.
Sue VDB: Glad you liked the story..have so much to talk about- misplaced your number…will email you tonight..
One tired little darling pug. Looks like you had a big day, Cletus.
Robin, that would surely be a wonderful parade… great story.
hugs from cool and rainy Saskatchewan,Canada
A pug paraide what could be a better…..
Oh, I am a Yankee Doodle Puglette! A very cute tired yankee doodle puglette! Thanks for sharing this sweet picture!
Oh Cletus you deserve a nice rest. that story is too cute!
Robin, you have quite a talent. Great story.
Cletus, a little modesty here. Get your human to buy a bigger bed. But you’d probably spill over in that as pugs seem to want their heads in a different place than their bodies.
Robin, that’s exactly what I though- handsome Cletus was too long at the parade. Have a good nap, sweetie!
Cletus ready for his belly rub American style.
Robin what a great story-so imaginative! I guess that’s why Cletus needed a nap after that work out. I think having a pug parade would be great-especially if they didn’t stay in formation and we got smothered in pug love. Pug hugs from Pastor Sue & the Colorado 2
Cletus - Stars and Stripes forever!!!! I think that I should do ‘al my girls’ for ‘Womans Day’ on the 8th August.
LoL

It was the Fourth of July and Cletus had led the Puggie Parade through the center of town. Cletus had been Pugmaster of Ceremonies honoring all the great pugs through history. He had done a simply awesome job of organization. Every puggie and puglette had been given a small flag with a treat tied to the end of it and they had been promised they could eat the treat if they marched together, heads held high, tails tightly curled, and fur ruffling with a light wind that blew through the center of town. The parade had been an enormous success. All kinds of pugs had shown up; fawn, black, apricot, even handicapped puggies with their little set of wheels. It had been peasant to see old friends (pugs) again and renew old acquaintances. The humans had “Oohed and Aahed”, as the group of 250 pugs marched down the boulevard lined with oak and elm trees. It was hard trying to refrain from having a pug trot off to a human for petting and kisses and hugs, but Cletus had maintained firm control.
After the parade, Cletus had been congratulated and taken home where he had a nice warm lunch and a small bowl of milk as an extra treat….and then…Cletus threw himself into his little bed…for he was pugonne (doggone) tired!
