Ella is ready for her soiree!
“Ella beautiful piggy” sums it up pretty well for me! My pug Henry is fawn (apricot), but in my dream last night I was cuddling with a gray-faced, elderly black puggy much like Ella!
Rest in peace beautiful Ella Angel. You were the queen of pugland with all you style and puggy wisdom. You will never be forgotten
Ella, may your memory be a blessing. You and your wonderful momma have touched so many people’s lives! You are SORELY missed.
Ella is so beautiful! Like my Beans, she has such a pretty face…and she’s all dressed up for an elegant evening. This photo brightened up a very gray Monday, Thanks, Ella!
This is such a beautiful photo of our special little angel. She brought so much joy to all of us on FB. She is in all of our hearts. What a nice way to start a Monday by seeing this adorable little face. <3
I didn’t realize Ella had passed away when I made my comment above. I apologize if it seemed insensitive…but the thought remains, Ella you will always be such a beautiful girl. You blessed the lives of everyone you touched.
What an absolutely precious picture.!! You can feel her personality just shining through. Bless you little one.
what a gorgeous senior you are Ella. I hope all your days are full of love, naps and snacks!
Linda,
Be comforted, she will be waiting for you, full of beans and young again on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge!!

Ooooh how I miss Ella, look at that beautiful face. <3
OVER THE RAINBOW BRIDGE; Dedicated to ALL PUGS who have crossed…...
Puffy cumulus clouds dotted a pale blue sky as Ella trotted across the bridge. She hadn’t wanted to leave her human, she had wanted to stay a bit longer….but now as she trotted over the bridge….she was ready for her next adventure. The bridge was the most magical thing Ella had seen..magnificent she thought as she kept stopping and having a treat…she wished her human could see it…There were all different colored stripes..red, blue, yellow, green, orange and purple and on each stripe were milk bones. Ella stopped on a red stripe and quickly snorted down a milk bone…it tasted like strawberry. Quickly she moved on to a yellow stripe and there lay another treat….“lemon yum yum” thought Ella…continuing to move across all the colored stripes and sampling a delicious variety of treats all flavored according to the stripe ...grape for purple, tangerine for orange. apple for green… indeed Ella had never tasted so many magical things in her lifetime.
As Ella approached the end of the bridge to land on a huge puffy cloud, there lay a bowl the size of a small swimming pool and it was filled with warm, comforting milk….Of course Ella took a long drink…then another….and another….Before long Ella felt the urge…and as she looked around…she could hardly take in all the breathless beauty before her very eyes….
Hundreds, no, maybe thousands of other puggies like her were playing with each other. A handsome pug walked up to her and introduced himself as “Kingsley”....and then two more puggies walked up and said they were the brothers Muggins and Millstone….(little fawn boys). Ella noticed hundreds of fire hydrants and was ecstatic…she immediately sniffed around and did her business…..“So much easier here than in the old neighborhood”, thought Ella. Trees that sprouted milk bones and other tiny delectables grew all over the place and Ella was enchanted….she could have ANY treat she wanted.
She spotted a store…“Oh no”.....thought Ella .....“I have no money>” But Kingsley patiently explained that trade was done in treats only and eventually Ella, by virtue of walking around with her basket….had collected a variety of treats including milk bones, graham crackers, and other assorted delicacies..which she deposited on the counter of the store and in return…..she selected numerous spectacular adornments in every shade of the rainbow, because indeed….Ella always wanted to look her finest….. and she knew that someday she would see her human again and wanted to be dressed properly….
Now Ella had been told that she would need to select a place…a cloud to sleep upon and fix up her new place…Ella couldn’t begin to decide…There were just so many clouds and on each one puggies collected themselves together and slept in tight balls of furriness…muzzle to muzzle…curly tail to curly tail….“Yes it is wonderful here thought Ella…but she missed her human and wanted to be found someday….“Oh, how will I be found by my human” thought Ella as she gazed around and around, occasionally grabbing a treat from a nearby tree…
Finally….after much sniffing….and debating….Ella decided to set up her home on a new cloud….right next to the bridge she had crossed…no puggies lived there yet ...and Ella would be the first…..She chose this cloud so that when her human crossed over….they would see Ella right away!! And Ella painted a big sign with her paws that said….“Ella’s cloud”...and hung it over the doorway!......This way she would not be missed…..Then Ella carefully washed her paw,...put on a new dress….her favorite was the red polka dot….and added a bit of fine jewelry!....I am home thought Ella….and my human will find me again!........
And then Ella….promptly curled up into a tight little ball of fur…....and settled in for a deep…..soothing….and snoring nap!
Ella the most beautiful soul. love you always xooxox

Tears running down my old face…..How beautiful and true this is!
She is Ella-licious!!!
I misses you friend, but I sees you every night when Momma and I go out on the patio and look at the stars. We knows it is you because it’s the most brightest and twinkliest in the whole sky!
This is a special thank you to everyone for the beautiful, heartfelt, comments about my special, memorable little girl. Ella was quite the presence and left a legacy behind including her name which inspired my business. She was sassy, sweet, cuddly, demanding, stoic, nurturing, correcting, proud, funny, graceful and always a lady. She was very special to us. To those who apologized for your comments as you didn’t know she had gone to the Rainbow Bridge last month… please don’t feel bad. I’m so glad you got to see her and your comments were beautiful. I hope her legacy continues. Our 11 of the 15 years she had here wasn’t long enough, but how blessed we were to have her in our lives. She changed us and was the reason we began to volunteer in pug rescue. What a wonderful gift to have found this picture and your notes today. Love, Sharon
Oh Sharon, you are certainly welcome. We OBPers are a close knit family, and we share each others happy moments as well as our sad ones. It is so hard to lose a precious one, and Ella evidently was one of the best. You will always miss her, but all the good memories will sustain you.
When I first saw her sweet face on fb I knew she was a very special girl.
Hugs from Sue VDB and Annie Fannie
Hi Sharon, From time to time I see a picture that leads me to write one of my “pug stories.” After about six hours of continuously returning to Ella’s photograph, I felt prompted to do this today. I never know how my stories are going to turn out…but I am happy if I left you feeling good. I did not know Ella from Facebook, but as the saying goes…“one picture is worth a thousand words.”
Ella was a beautiful girl that brightened our day. She was always so cheerful. We never loathed Mondays anymore because thanks to Ella they became Moeday!! We were now happier on Mondays. We love and miss you so very much. We think of you every day.
Oh, Robin! I got teary thinking of my Buddy there at the bridge—he was always so bossy! (Helen, glad I’m not the only one!) But, I was also thinking of our kitty that just crossed a couple of weeks ago. I hope there are plenty of birds and butterflies for him to chase.
Oh Ella, you’re the Bella the ball! I love older pugs - I think pugs are the one breed that maintains their cuteness - even gets cuter as they age! I love those bug-eyes and there’s just nothing better than a pug! I’m owned by three - one just passed. My beloved Kingsley, - the love of my life and my very first pug! I love pugs so much - they’re the bomb!
So many lovely thoughts and comments above about Miss Ella Judd. What a wonderful little girl! She brought so much life and love, fun and joy into the hearts and minds of all who knew her. She is sorely missed by all, and I think of her everyday. But the wonderful memories remain as does her spirit. I just know that she is in good company, and has already made so many, many, many new friends. I love you, Ella! <3
Hi again, how does everyone know Ella passed over the bridge? I’m amazed at how you all know each other so well.
Hi, Kat! We know because of being her Facebook friends, and her mom notified us on her page when it happened. Anyone who was lucky enough to be sweet Ella’s friend was blessed indeed.
I thought everyone should know about Ella’s wonderful singing. I miss that about her. I’ll bet her Woofbook friends were all beggin’ for a tune or two.
We miss you sweet angel. Xoxo
Oh, sweet Ella, what a beautiful baby you were! Your sweet puggy spirit just shines forth from this wonderful photo!
Miss Kat, Ella was the queen of the pugcommunity on Facebook.
she was like the pug godmother. We all loved her so much. Everyday was a special day to her. And she wrote so many, such beautiful songs. She motivated us to stay positive each & every day.
I still laugh about how she told me how to boss around my 2 new pug brothers… cuz she was the one with lots of experience!
Ella was my special friend and not a day passes when her lovely pinkness does not cross my mind. I’ll see you soon my friend, keep a space on the cloud for me <3
Oh Ella aren’t you so precious?? RIP pretty girl!
