Hugo
Hugo, the name fits you perfectly and you look like quite a proper and charming young man. Great picture!
The neck, the face, the name, I love it all!
It had been a rewarding career, Hugo reflected as he sat for his 120th portrait picture, or was it the 121st? Hugo couldn’t remember, and it didn’t really matter anyway…....He had learned to be patient and sit through these events, because there was always a treat in it when it was over. Just that morning as he had donned his robes and prepared to go sit on his bench, Hugo had been thinking of what retirement “promised.” First on his list was to somehow wangle a date with that cute little puglette Annie. The thought of it made him chop down two treats and briefly close his eyes as he visualized her! Certainly he had put enough treats…to support a little puggy girlfriend… And then the day had begun! First off, he had sent away a trio of pit bulls for chasing young children….then a labrador had appeared before him and promised to be good, but Hugo was having none of it…this was the labs second appearance, and Hugo was sick of reminding him about “doing his thing on freshly painted fire hydrants.” The lab, Hugo had sent, to pet reform school. And finally, two young puggies had appeared before him….for knocking over a treat jar and consuming everything inside….Hugo had let them off with a stern warning, and told them that if they ever did it again….they better appear with a few leftovers for him! (No one ever said that a puggy judge couldn’t be “bought” with a few treats!!) Well, Hugo mused, I guess it is a good thing to have ones photo taken ....it memorializes me for life!
