Hi, I’m Kingsley’s mommy.  I sent this picture in to feature him one more time, cuz he’s now passed on to the Rainbow Bridge.  This picture was a few years ago - he was such a sweet dog - and he knew how to “connect” with me.  He’d always make eye contact with me.  I’ve never felt so in touch with an animal as I have with Kingsley.  He’s just the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to me.  I will love him forever.

Oh Kat, is this recent?  You have a gorgeous boy, and I say have because he will always be in your heart.

Sue VDB and Annie Fannie - This picture is from 2009.  It’s soon after I got Kingsley his cart.  He doesn’t look happy in this picture, yet he was very happy with the cart as he got used to it.  He basically just died of old age, on my lap - it’s ripping me to pieces cuz he was everything to me.  I’m really taking this very hard and I know you all understand.  I put everything I had into Kingsley - he just had a slipped disc/cyst back when he was about 5 - had surgery - good result.  But he was still frisky enough and hurt the same spot again - doctor didn’t want to do second surgery for fear of paralyzing him in the procedure.  So what happened then, at age 9, was a very slow, progressive onset of paralysis.  It was very slow but it happened.  He took to the cart quite well, but eventually he wouldn’t even walk in it anymore - he liked being on the couch and he was alert - ears up for food, treats, etc.  But he couldn’t do much of anything.  We had to fight pneumonia cuz he didn’t move around enough - and bladder infections which come with this condition.  I love Kingsley with every fiber of my being and will NEVER forget his wonderful puggy spirit.  He was quite the little devil as a younger dog - what a little monster he could be!  I love everything about him and always will.  XXXOOO to you Kingsley!  Until Mommy sees you again!

Hi again, and just so you guys know, Kingsley was 14 when he passed away.  That’s a pretty good life considering the battles we had there at the end.  XXXOOO to my little King!

Oh Kat,
Thanks so much for sharing the Kingsley story with us.  Actually it is Yours and Kingsley’s story.  I can tell how much you loved him and thank God for you for taking such loving care of him.  He is adorable and I know how hard it is go lose a dog.  Two years ago I lost my Great Dane, Sweet Miss Katie Blue, and I will love her forever also.
I am so happy that you enjoyed Kingsley so much and really have him in your heart.

Oh Kat, how happy and how sad.  We’ll do anything for our babies, won’t we, and end up with wonderful memories.  I can feel your heartbreak as can any of us who have lost a special one, not that they aren’t all special but some are specialier (new word) than others.

I’m with you GG - and btw hope you are feeling better each day.  You are just about to begin summer, aren’t you. Not fair, a storm coming our way.  Hope we can duck it.  I think we have to thank Gina for this one.
